We had our first live show for the Top 14 on “American Idol” season 24 last night on ABC. It was “Songs of Faith” night, and we saw some pretty amazing performances throughout the night. We also had a shocking ending, as Ryan Seacrest revealed they needed more time to tally the votes. That meant the Top 12 would be announced next week on “American Idol” 2026. For now, we are taking a look at these hopefuls and doing some power rankings for the top 14 singers on “American Idol” season 24.
1. Brooks Rosser
Brooks’ voice is just amazing. There is something special about him, as he showcased in this performance. He clearly has nerves, since this is all new to him. As he progresses, it’ll get better, and I am excited to see where he can go.
2. Rae Boyd
Rae has been a standout the past few weeks, and it did not let up with last night’s performance. Her voice is so good, and her range is amazing.
3. Hannah Harper
This night seemed perfect for Hannah to shine bright, and she did not disappoint. Her voice is perfect for this type of music. While the vocals were great, I just need some more emotion from her. Break down those walls.
4. Philmon Lee on ‘American Idol’ Season 24
Nerves for Philmon also, but this performance helped work past them somewhat. It was raw, and you could feel the emotion of the lyrics.
5. Jesse Findling
I was surprised he was the last name announced during the results. I thought he would be a favorite, but this performance might help him!
6. Keyla Richardson
Maybe I was expecting too much from Keyla this week? I don’t know what it was, but I thought she was going to take us to church with her performance. While it was good, I was just left wanting more from it.
7. Chris Tungseth
Chris came back with another good performance. He is working his way back up my rankings.
8. Daniel Stallworth on ‘American Idol’ 2026
I had Daniel being eliminated last night during the results. While I was surprised he made it through, this performance showed me why he did. Very good performance and totally getting the crowd into it.
9. Braden Rumfelt
It’s been a rollercoaster ride for Braden. I feel he shines one week and then it’s not the best performance the next week. This was good, but not great for me.
10. Jordan McCullough on ‘American Idol’
Along the same lines as Keyla. I was expecting to be blown away by Jordan’s performance, but I wasn’t.
11. Kyndal Inskeep
For Kyndal, there was so much hype for her early on. Her performance in Ohana blew everyone away. She has been lacking something ever since.
12. Julián Kalel
What I said for Kyndal also works with Julián.
13. Lucas Leon
Lucas has a good voice. I just don’t think it’s wow, you’re the next “American Idol” worthy.
14. Jake Thistle on ‘American Idol’ 2026
Jake sat at the piano this time. Good voice, but like Lucas, I’m just not blown away by it.

Ruby Rae but somehow she was voted off. She had that Idol swag to actually be a star like so few are who win this contest. Think Carrie Underwood.
