The first results on “American Idol” season 24 were delivered last night, as the Top 14 on “American Idol” 2026 were revealed. We had our first live show on ABC last night, so these singers were performing for your votes. So, the Top 14 performed, but who had the best performances of the night on “American Idol” last night? 1. Brooks
For the Top 14 performance, he sings “Imagine” by John Lennon. I think this was a great song choice. He started singing, and I was like yup, another stellar performance by Brooks for this one. His voice is just so nice to listen to.
For the judges, Luke said he loves his voice and loves the way it sounds. Lionel said the talent is amazing, and his voice is amazing. Carrie said we are always very excited and curious to see what he’s going to do.
2. Rae
I mean, I knew this one was going to be amazing. She sings “Up to the Mountain” by Patty Griffin. Her voice is so good, and she can always hit those huge notes with ease. She is a superstar.
For the judges, Luke said that was totally pro. Lionel said that was shut everything down, took the prize home. It was amazing, a perfect performance. Carrie said that it was absolutely amazing.
3. Hannah Harper
This was another one of those performances that I knew was going to be good. Her voice is so strong in this song choice. She sings “At the Cross” by Chris Tomlin. She brings us to church on this one.
For the judges, Lionel said that it was with such purity that it was fantastic. Carrie said she loved her version of that and could feel her heart in it. Luke said it was perfection. It roped him in, and he totally bought into it.
4. Philmon Lee
I just love this guy and his voice. He sang “Simple Man” by Lynyrd Skynyrd. It had that rocker vibe, but he had such good control of his voice. Philmon hits some big notes along the way, and this was such a strong performance from him.
For the judges, Carrie said this was his moment. Luke said where has this guy been? Lionel said he is stepping up. That was your style, so give us more.
