The night started with the Top 11 on “American Idol” season 24. Then, Ryan Seacrest delivered the results, and the Top 9 on “American Idol” 2026 were announced. Before those results were delivered, we did see the Top 11 perform for your votes. It was Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Night, as these 11 artists took on iconic hits from Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductees. Iconic songs meant iconic performances, right? 1. Jordan McCullough
For this performance, he is singing “Somebody to Love” by Queen. This guy can sing. He did, yet again, take us to church tonight on “American Idol” season 24. His range is amazing. That last note was something else. This was so entertaining and, by far, the best of the night!
For the judges, Carrie said that it was so much fun. He just proved that anyone can rock. Luke said everything about that is what “American Idol” is all about. Lionel said that was clearly a drop-the-mic moment. It was amazing.
2. Brooks
For this performance, Brooks sang “These Days” by Jackson Browne. He said he could relate to the song, which may have been why he seemed more comfortable with the performance. His voice is so unique. It started a little rough for me, but he worked it out, and it was very good.
For the judges, Lionel said God has given him his blessing: his voice. Carrie said she didn’t want the song to end. He seemed so in the moment and so comfortable, which was very different from the week before. Luke said he was into the moment, and he creates moments.
3. Keyla Richardson on ‘American Idol’
I mean, the performance was great, and she took us to church. For this performance, especially, I just heard a lot of Fantasia Barrino. It’s wild! And it’s definitely not a bad thing, as Fantasia won! She brought out the emotion and made us all feel everything during the performance.
For the judges, Luke said he’s never seen her take it to that level. Lionel said let the congregation say, Amen! Carrie said that it was absolutely amazing.
