“Big Brother” season 19 stars Jessica and Cody Nickson welcomed their fifth daughter to the world on Friday, October 10, 2025, an accomplishment they posted about on Instagram. Cody has one daughter from a previous relationship, making this his sixth child and sixth girl.
Jess & Cody’s Newest Baby
Jess and Cody took to Instagram to announce their fifth daughter is named Italia Belle Nickson. She was born at 12:48, although her parents did not specify whether that was a.m. or p.m. Italia weighed seven pounds and 2 ounces at the time of her birth and was 19 inches long.
Jess and Cody have already made their new daughter her own Instagram account, with the username being her full name. All of Jess and Cody’s kids have their own Instagram accounts, although the duo runs the accounts, as the kids are all six years old or younger.
Italia’s account already has almost 3,000 followers at the time of writing. Her sister Gemma has over 7,000 followers, Atlas has over 14,000, Carter has over 27,000, and Maverick has over 54,000. The older the child is, the more Instagram followers she has.
Italia’s Instagram features a few posts, including one of her oldest sister Maverick cuddling with her. The caption, coming from Cody, reads, “Maverick is meant to be a big sister.”
Jess & Cody’s Love Story
Jess and Cody originally met in 2017 when they were both cast on CBS’s long-running reality show, “Big Brother.” They were instantly attracted to each other, and while they weren’t the only showmance that season (Matt Clines and Raven Walton dated during the show, as did Mark Jansen and Elena Davies), they were the only duo from season 19 to stay together after the show and eventually get married.
After “Big Brother,” Jess and Cody made another CBS appearance when they competed on “The Amazing Race” season 30. Although neither of them fared very well on “Big Brother” (Cody did win America’s Favorite Player as a duo, but Jess was evicted before the jury phase), they won “The Amazing Race,” winning the $1 million grand prize.
On October 15, 2018, People exclusively reported photos from Jess and Cody’s wedding, which happened the day before. It was a black-tie event and featured a four-foot cake. Jess’s bridesmaids wore black dresses, which the bride acknowledged was untraditional. However, she said, “I like the picturesque feel of it all.” Cody wore cowboy boots with his suit.
The two had announced they were pregnant with their first child one month earlier. Although not all “Big Brother” showmances last, Jess and Cody seem like they’ll go the distance.
