Ashley Hollis is remembering Mickey Lee in a new tribute shared on what would have been her 36th birthday.
In an exclusive statement to EntertainmentNow, the “Big Brother” season 27 winner reflected on Lee’s lasting impact, both on those who knew her personally and those who connected with her through the show.
“Mickey Lee’s birthday is such a bittersweet moment,” Hollis said.
“It’s a reminder of how deeply she impacted people, even beyond what we saw publicly,” she continued.
“There’s something really powerful about the way her story continues to resonate—it speaks to her presence, her authenticity, and the way she made people feel seen,” Hollis added.
She concluded with, “We will always hold space for honoring such an amazing, bright light.”
Lee passed away on December 25, 2025, at age 35 after suffering multiple cardiac arrests following complications related to the flu. As her birthday on March 31 arrived, Lee’s name once again became a focal point for fans and fellow houseguests reflecting on her life and legacy.

Early in the season, they were aligned within the “Peach Cobbler” alliance alongside Cliffton “Captain Will” Williams. The group worked closely together during since its inception in week 3. But as the game progressed, their strategies began to diverge. Lee became known for bold, high-impact moves, while Hollis focused on maintaining positioning across multiple alliances.

Hollis ultimately went on to win season 27, while Lee was evicted on day 59, finishing in 10th place just before the jury phase.
Ashley Hollis Reached Out to Mickey Lee Before Her Passing
CBSFollowing the season, Hollis made an effort to reconnect with Lee and move forward from any lingering tension.
In a message she later shared publicly on her Instagram Story at the time, Hollis explained why she felt compelled to reach out.
“I wanted to reach out to you! I didn’t really get to see you this weekend,” Hollis wrote in the message. “But I wanted to reach out because I honestly didn’t like the way things transpired between us and I did really care about you in the house.”
“I don’t want beef [with you] and I don’t want the two Black girls to be pit against each other,” she added. “So I wanted to be the bigger person and reach out to squash the 🥩.”
After Lee’s passing, Hollis also shared a tribute on Instagram reflecting on the loss and her immediate reaction to the news.
“Shock, disbelief, a seemingly healthy bright 35 year old passing is something you don’t think will happen ever,” Hollis wrote.
“Mickey was a bright light in this world, please pray for her family during this time,” she added.
“Love you forever Mickey Lee,” she concluded.
