With Season 10 of Bravo’s “Below Deck Mediterranean” premiering on September 29, fans are wondering what’s in store for the crew and if we’ll see any celebrities aboard the yacht. Past seasons have seen Marvel’s Anthony Mackie, “Housewives” stars like Alexis Bellino and Heather Gay, among others.
Chief Stewardess Aesha Scott, who returned in Season 9 after two seasons on “Below Deck Down Under,” isn’t revealing if any celebs charter her yacht this coming year. However, she does reveal some notable personalities she has worked with in the past, such as Leonardo DiCaprio.
Aesha Remembers Her Encounter With ‘Very Articulate’ Leonardo DiCaprio
“I’ve actually had Leonardo DiCaprio on before,” Aesha told Us Weekly. “He was so polite and so lovely.”
“Oh my god, he’s so intelligent,” she said. “He just wanted to be left alone because he was having all of these business meetings to do with his new book,” she recalled. “This was years ago. So the new book at the time was about climate change and I just remember serving them — and obviously you can’t help but hear what they’re talking about.”
“I just remember thinking that he was probably the most articulate man I have ever heard speak in my life,” she added. “He was very articulate and very intelligent.”
While Leonardo has never written a book, the time period she’s probably referring to is 2015. The “Inception” actor wrote the foreword for Rick Fedrizzi’s “Greenthink: How Profit Can Save The Planet.” He also spoke with Fedrizzi for his 2007 documentary, “The 11th Hour,” which Leonardo produced and narrated. As an environmental activist, he has supported numerous initiatives aimed at combating climate change and promoting conservation efforts.
Scott Recalls Star Sightings With Will Smith and Dreams of Sailing With Rihanna
The chief stew remembers having Naomi Campbell on her yacht, and also seeing Will Smith and his family when they were at the dock.
“Right there in front of me putting his shoes on was Will Smith,” she told TV Insider. “He was with all his family. He was like, “Hey, hurry up! We need to go get some ice cream.” It was so buzzy seeing him right there with his family on holiday.
Scott is hopeful that she’ll have the opportunity to work with more celebrities in the future. However, there’s one in particular she has in mind.
“I think that I would want to work on Rihanna’s boat because I’ve had friends that have had Rihanna on,” she said. “They said that she is just the nicest, kindest and down-to-earth charter guest. Every time she’d get off, she’d leave them all designer handbags. Not that you’re doing it for the gift but I’ve heard that she is a very, very lovely and generous and kind charter guest.”
