Fans were thrilled to see “Below Deck” chef Ben Robinson make an epic return to the franchise for “Below Deck Down Under” season 4. Robinson was last seen on “Below Deck Mediterranean” season 4 in 2019, when he appeared as a replacement chef.
In the current Bravo season, fans are enjoying seeing Robinson back in the galley, but he’s opened up like never before about his dating life, revealing one of the hardest moments he’s faced: calling off his engagement to Kiara Cabral after spending $50,000 on their wedding.
However, in a recent guest appearance on “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen,” the chef provided a new and brief update on his dating life today.
Ben Robinson Shares Update About His Dating Life
BravoIn a March 2 appearance on “What What Happens Live with Andy Cohen,” chef Ben Robinson shared a brief answer about his current love life. Sitting alongside former “Below Deck” chief stew Kate Chastain, Robinson revealed that he has a girlfriend.
Robinson didn’t get into any details about his new love interest and kept her name and the start of their relationship under wraps, but he did share, “I have found a better half, and I’m very happy right now.”
The news comes after Robinson was candid about what led to his engagement fallout with former fiancée Kiara Cabral on “Below Deck Down Under.”
During the Feb. 17 episode, Robinson shared in a confessional, “I was meant to get married last year. And I caught her—she had been seeing one of my friends for a very long time. I spent $50,000 on a wedding I didn’t attend. And that’s why I’m more sensitive now because I lack faith in humanity. That’s it, yeah. [Expletive].”
Robinson Announced the End of His Engagement in September 2024
In September 2024, Robinson shared a lengthy Instagram post announcing the end of his engagement to Cabral. He didn’t reveal what led to the split, but it marked a difficult chapter in his life.
“I am no longer getting married… We have decided to go our separate ways, and I think that this is the best decision for both of us. I would rather not discuss the reasons behind these decisions, but I feel it’s important for me to express my circumstance. With any luck my grievances will be overshadowed by the support of my loyal followers, friends and family. You always give me strength,” he wrote.
Robinson and Cabral got engaged in May 2023, after dating for four years.
However, after detailing what led to their engagement fallout on the Bravo series, Cabral broke her silence and, in a TikTok, denied his claims that she had cheated.
“Those of you who are watching ‘Below Deck’ may have heard of me, and not in a positive light. Everything Ben said about me on the show is 100 percent false. I have never and I would never be romantically involved with any of his friends. That’s not the kind of person I am,” she shared.
Cabral went on to note that she left the relationship “because of the way he was treating me. There was a lot of trauma I had to deal with from that relationship. And honestly, I just want it to be over. It’s been over two years, and I really feel like I’ve healed.”
However, it looks like both Robinson and Cabral have healed from their breakup, with Robinson appearing to be in a much better place, and leaving fans eager for a glimpse of him with his new love interest.
