George Clooney is currently promoting his latest movie, “Jay Kelly,” which premiered on Netflix in late 2025. Recently, an interviewer asked the Hollywood icon if he watched reality television. This led him to discuss his experience with watching Bravo’s “Below Deck.”
Captain Sandy Yawn shared the clip on her official Instagram account. Clooney said in it, “I went to a speaking engagement in Poland a couple of weeks ago, and the only thing in English on television was a series called ‘Below Deck.’
And I watched that one. It was on like a 24-hour loop. I was stuck in Poland waiting to do the speaking engagement, so I watched about four hours of ‘Below Deck.'”
Clooney went on to highlight what impressed him about the show. This includes how the crew “kept their act together when all these sort of awful people came on and wanted their toenails buffed and things like that.”
There were many fan reactions to the news that the “Jay Kelly” star had watched “Below Deck.” First, Bravo commented, “Major charter guest.” Someone else said, “OMG GEORGE!!! How Awesome! Everyone loves Below Deck.”
Another person said, “Super cool! I’ve been telling everyone I know about Below Deck Med.”
George Clooney’s ‘Jay Kelly’ Is a Certified Hit
In additon to becoming familiar with “Below Deck,” Clooney is still one of the most formidable names in Hollywood. His latest film, “Jay Kelly,” was released on Netflix on November 14, 2025. Noah Baumbach directed the movie.
In additon to Clooney, “Jay Kelly” stars Adam Sandler, Billy Crudup, Emily Mortimer, and Stacy Keach. So far, the movie has strong reviews from audiences and critics, with the latter giving it a 77% on Rotten Tomatoes. This is based on 228 reviews.
Audiences liked the film more than critics, with an 87% rating. Critics gave it a 64%. “Jay Kelly” also received nominations for several awards at film festivals, including the Gotham Independent Film Awards and the Venice International Film Festival.
‘Ocean’s 14’ Is in the Works
Clooney has several movie projects on the horizon. However, one of the most anticipated is “Ocean’s 14,” which will include the return of the core actors, Julia Roberts, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, and Don Cheadle.
Clooney gave an update to E! News in October 2025. He said, “We just got it, we just got the budget approved at Warner Bros., and we’re trying to set up. It’s just scheduling, so it’s just setting a start date for us.” He also said they’d probably start shooting in “about 9 or 10 months.”
There is currently no confirmed release date for “Ocean’s 14.”
