“Real Housewives of Atlanta” fan-favorite Kandi Burruss dropped some eye-opening facts about her financial situation in court filings the week of February 12, 2026, regarding her divorce from Todd Tucker. According to TMZ, Burruss declared in her latest documents that she has been the one footing all the bills for the family’s expenses. Kandi is in the process of opposing Todd’s request for primary custody of the couple’s two school-aged kids, Ace and Blaze.
TMZ says Kandi’s filings state that the “No Scrubs” songwriter’s ex-husband has been staying in a guest house on the property, which Kandi owned prior to the marriage, while she alone pays for “the maintenance and upkeep of the home, to include – utilities, gas, lawn care, water, pest control, and fees associated with the alarm system.”
The Bravo star is also disputing Todd’s claims that he is the primary caretaker for their two children. She says she is the kids’ traditional caretaker, and that a hired nanny is around when she’s away, TMZ says the documents claim.
Meanwhile, she’s asking that Todd be ordered to pay child support and share in the kids’ expenses.
In his own documents, Todd brought up the fact that Kandi has been away from Atlanta since December where the family lives, to perform in “& Juliet” on Broadway, but Kandi says she frequently flies home to parent. Her Broadway run will conclude March 8.
Kandi Revealed How She Spent Her Valentine’s Day
Paparazzi caught up with Kandi in New York City, and she revealed to them how she spent her first single Valentine’s Day since starting to date Todd around 2013. But first, her mother, known on “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” as “Mama Joyce,” told the TMZ cameras, “As long as Kandi’s happy, I’m happy,” when asked about the divorce.
Kandi then playfully guided her mom away from the paps before describing her Valentine’s Day by saying, “First of all, I had to work. I had two shows that day. But I took my mom, my cousin April and my cousin Kyron to dinner.” She described the outing as “family time” before going on, “I feel good.”
Kandi Appeared With Daughter Riley in the Go Red for Women Fashion Show
