However, despite reaching out, Kent says she hasn’t heard back from Maloney. Of course, it’s only natural that her former “Vanderpump Rules” co-star is still coping with the grief of losing her dad.

Still, it’s worth noting that Kent and Maloney haven’t been on good terms since the most recent season of their former show ended in 2024. Regarding the panel, Tom Schwartz was also on and stated that he sees Maloney often. The crowd at BravoCon then cheered, knowing that the two VPR alums were on solid terms.

Maloney’s Dad Passed Away In January 2025

The sad news broke in January 2025 that Maloney’s dad, Richard “Rich” Maloney, had passed away. She took to social media to pay tribute to him.

She said on Instagram, “I feel like I am a stranger to grief. As much as it has touched my life and so many I love. It’s not something I have become comfortable or well acquainted with.”

Maloney continued, “This last Sunday, my father passed away. Since I have been met with a variety of emotions, numbness, peace, complete utter sadness, and even at times guilt. My dad was everyone’s favorite, he was so charming, made everyone feel welcome and comfortable. We shared the love of dad jokes and he had an endless supply.”

She then said, “He was always so supportive of my brothers and I growing up and as adults championed our endeavors. I cannot smell Irish spring without immediately thinking about him, how the scent almost covered up the smell of wheel grease from his job.”

The “Vanderpump Rules” alum continued, “It’s a core memory that I have always held and hold closer now. Dad, I love you forever, thank you for the million laughs, for the father-daughter dances throughout life, and for the love you gave us. Love, your baby girl.”

Kent and Schwartz are Joining ‘The Valley’

As mentioned, Kent and Schwartz were on the panel for “The Valley” at BravoCon 2025. In additon to talking about Maloney, according to Bravo, it was confirmed that they’re becoming full-time cast members on the show.

Season three of “The Valley” has wrapped filming, and Kent told the crowd she had a “wonderful time” throughout. This comes after they both made appearances in the show’s second season.
