Brittany Cartwright Gives Hopeful Divorce Update – ‘Fingers Crossed’ EXCLUSIVE

Brittany Cartwright is offering a surprisingly hopeful update on her divorce from Jax Taylor — and she’s setting a potential timeline for when it may finally be over.

While appearing at BravoCon 2025, the “The Valley” star opened up about co-parenting, her future, and the lingering issues still delaying her official split from her former partner.

During the “Peaks & The Valley” panel presented by Carnival Cruise Line — moderated by Danny Pellegrino and featuring Danny Booko, Nia Booko, Luke Broderick, Jason Caperna, Janet Caperna, Kristen Doute, Jasmine Goode, Jesse Lally, Michelle Saniei, and Zack Wickham — Cartwright gave fans a major update.

She told the audience the divorce delay comes down to “things happening with Jax,” explaining that she is hoping the paperwork will be finalized by December. As she put it, “fingers crossed.”

One fan asked whether Taylor would appear on “The Valley” season 3. Cartwright didn’t hesitate: “Absolutely not” she shared as the audience erupted into cheers.

On her Nov. 8 episode of “When Reality Hits,” Cartwright opened up about the current state of co-parenting. “It’s going,” she said, adding that some issues remain private. Still, she emphasized that her focus is entirely on their 4-year-old son, Cruz. “I’m very much a full-time mom and I love it,” she said. “I think Jax is trying to work on himself… hopefully, one day, it will be a very successful co-parenting relationship.”

The Bravo star added that she’s been staying busy with motherhood and work. “I love being busy, being a mom, and work, and everything else,” she said. “I’m feeling very blessed right now.”

On Nov. 1, Cartwright shared Halloween photos with Cruz, both dressed in matching skeleton costumes. “Skeleton crew,” she captioned the post. “Cruzy lasted a few houses and fell right to sleep lol.”

Court Documents Reveal More About the Split

TMZ obtained court documents filed in Los Angeles on Aug. 26 showing Cartwright formally filed to dissolve her marriage to Taylor. She listed “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the divorce and marked Jan. 25, 2024, as their official separation date. The filing came nearly six months after Cartwright publicly announced the separation on the Feb. 29 episode of “When Reality Hits.”

“I made the decision to move into another home to take some space for the sake of my mental health,” she explained at the time. “I don’t know what the future holds, but right now, my focus is on being the best mom to Cruz.”

Cartwright also previously told “The Daily Dish” there was no cheating involved in the split. “It wasn’t anything like that,” she said. “It was just not a happy feeling… I was losing my sparkle.”

Taylor has acknowledged he is “a work in progress.” His rep confirmed to People that he spent 30 days in an in-patient mental-health treatment facility over the summer. “It’s been an emotional month for him,” the rep said.

Fans can stream seasons 1 and 2 of “The Valley” on Peacock.
