When a reunion sneak peek starts out with ominous music and a dramatic reading of an Instagram story, you know it’s time to grab the popcorn.
Our first look at footage from the highly anticipated “Summer House” reunion, and it’s clear that, despite some audio leaks, there’s still plenty to look forward to.
The clip begins on March 31, with Kyle Cooke sitting in a green room with Lindsay Hubbard, telling her to check her phone. Hubbard is shocked to read the joint Instagram statement posted by Amanda Batula and West Wilson confirming their relationship. Hubbard then reads the statement over footage of the cast arriving at the reunion three weeks later, looking varying degrees of shell-shocked.
Andy Gets Right Into It
“To be clear, are you two in love?” asks Andy, speaking to Wilson and Batula.
As if it wasn’t already obvious to fans, the rest of the “Summer House” cast does not support the relationship, and some are truly hurt by their actions.
“I feel like I’m losing a brother,” says Jesse Solomon, unable to hold back his tears. “I hope you can somehow improve and prove us wrong, but it doesn’t look good.”
Batula’s ex-husband Kyle Cooke has a few words for Wilson, too. “I thought I knew you, man,” he says. “And I’ve been back and forth between feeling concerned and betrayed.”
Wilson’s ex, Cierra Miller, also has strong words for the new couple. She begins by sharing how deeply Batula’s actions hurt her before going in on Wilson.
“He wants to embarrass me. He wants to get his last little word,” says Miller. And I hope it works, because he’s with you to spite me.”
Amanda and West Are on the Defense
Wilson, for his part, wants to clarify, “this isn’t a sex scandal.” He doesn’t get far explaining how his connection with Batula developed before getting cut off by castmates accusing him of lying.
Batula, meanwhile, becomes visibly upset over the course of the conversation and, at one point, leaves the stage in tears.
“And no one in this world has been in a situation like this?” she implores. If she was hoping for understanding, she doesn’t get it. “No!” exclaims Mia Calabrese. “In high school, maybe?” chimes in Lindsay Hubbard.
Is That Carl Flirting With Lindsay?
The reunion footage teases one of the more surprising reverberations West and Amanda’s relationship has had throughout the “Summer House” universe: peace between former fiancés Lindsay Hubbard and Carl Radke.
“Lindsay’s giving like, Cruella de Vil,” whispers Solomon to Radke, who, in turn, responds, “Yeah, it looks good.”
Radke and Hubbard’s relationship has been icy since the Soft Bar founder ended his engagement with Hubbard back in 2023, but things are on the mend for the two, and bonding over the scandal that rocked “Summer House” appears to be accelerating the healing.
Anyone still shipping Carl and Lindsay shouldn’t get their hopes up, though. Radke said on the May 12 episode of “Watch What Happens Live” that the pair are rebuilding their friendship, but ruled a rekindling of their romance out. It remains to be seen, however, if his flirtation with new castmate Bailey Taylor is going somewhere.
“Reunion Part 1” airs Tuesday, May 26 at 8 p.m. ET/PT
