“Vanderpump Rules” alum Brett Caprioni is officially engaged! The former Bravo star popped the question to his girlfriend, YouTube star and influencer Carli Bybel, on New Year’s Eve, turning the holiday into an unforgettable celebration.
Caprioni starred in just one season of “Vanderpump Rules,” but his appearance was certainly a memorable one. Who could forget his appearance in Scheana Shay’s music video!
‘Vanderpump Rules’ Alum Brett Caprioni Proposes to YouTube Star Carli Bybel
“Vanderpump Rules” alum Brett Caprioni and his girlfriend, Carli Bybel, are officially heading to the altar! In a joint Instagram post, the couple announced their engagement on New Year’s Eve.
The photos capture the couple beaming as they pose together, with Bybel wearing a beautiful white dress while Caprioni kept it casual in black jeans and an open black button-down and white t-shirt. A second photo highlighted Bybel’s stunning engagement ring.
“Easiest yes of my life!!!!!! We’re engaged!!!!!! 🥹😭❤️✨ #loveofmylife 12.31.25,” the snapshots were captioned.
“Vanderpump Rules” fans will recall that Caprioni appeared in season 8, working at Lisa Vanderpump’s SUR restaurant as a server. Although he only appeared in one season, he expressed interest in both Dayna Kathan and Charli Burnett. He also caught the eye of Scheana Shay and admitted that they hooked up. He would later star in her music video for “One More Time,” where the two acted out steamy scenes in the bedroom.
Caprioni & Bybel Rekindled Their Romance After Splitting in 2017
During Caprioni’s short-lived appearance on “Vanderpump Rules,” he opened up about a difficult breakup that just so happened to be between him and Bybel. In fact, his Bravo bio read: “New Jersey native and SUR’s newest male server, Brett Caprioni recently moved to LA after a devastating breakup.”
According to Taste of Reality, Caprioni and Bybel have known each other since kindergarten in New Jersey. They began dating in 2013 and eventually became YouTube sensations, with Bybel gaining popularity for her makeup videos and Caprioni for his fitness tips.
In a November 2017 YouTube video, Bybel shared that she and Caprioni had split, but remained friends.
“People change and people grow apart… There comes a time when you need to worry about you and your happiness, and that needs to come first and foremost … I believe that both people have to be happy. I’m gonna be OK, and he’s gonna be OK. And you never know what the future brings, but I feel that this is the best thing for both of us at this point in our lives,” she shared.
On October 17, 2025, which also happened to be Bybel’s 35th birthday, she revealed that she and Caprioni rekindled their romance.
