Val Chmerkovskiy is looking to secure his fourth Mirrorball trophy alongside celebrity partner Alix Earle, and with the season they have been having, it seems possible. Alix Earle & Val Chmerkovskiy’s Finale Performances
From the beginning of the competition, Earle and Chmerkovskiy proved that they were a power couple: Earle with her grace, beauty, and incredible talent on the dance floor, and Chmerkovskiy with his stunning choreography and understanding of his partner’s strengths and weaknesses.
On Show Day on Tuesday, November 25, the pair will perform three dance routines: the Freestyle performance, the Judges’ Choice routine, and an Instant Dance. Earle and Chmerkovskiy’s Freestyle was performed to “Maneater” by Nelly Furtado and “Sports Car” by Tate McRae. Their Judges’ Choice routine was another exciting choice: a samba routine to “Hip Hip Chin Chin” by Club des Belugas.
Their first dance of the night was the Samba, and they were incredible! The pair opened the show with a perfect score of 30 out of 30.
Fans reacted to their dance when photos from the performance were shared on the official “Dancing with the Stars” Instagram account. Reactions include, “Samba is SO hard! She did great!,” “OH YEAH MY WINNERS,” and “that was a SOLID samba had ALLLLL the content.”
Chmerkovskiy and Earle’s second performance of the night was the Instant Dance Challenge. She blind picked the Cha Cha, and they did an incredible job once again, scoring another perfect score!
Fans praised the pair again for their incredible dance, leaving comments on the DWTS Instagram account. “WE DIDNT KNOW WE NEEDED THAT,” a fan shared. “These instant dances are INSANE,” another comment reads.
The Perfect Freestyle
The third and final dance for the evening was the Freestyle routine, and Earle and Chmerkovskiy wowed fans! They scored another 30 out of 30, making it a perfect score for all three dances!
The reactions to the dance include, “NOW THATS A MIRRORBALL WINNER,” a comment reads. “IF SHE DOESNT WIN THE MIRRORBALL AFTER THAT…” another shared. What an impressive performance!
The Pressure Is On
Chmerkovskiy and Earle have formed a close, genuine friendship that took longer to develop than some of the other couples’ did, but only because they wanted to build trust and mutual respect first. Have they done enough to secure the win? Fans think so.
Chmerkovskiy wanted to deliver a memorable performance for his final time onstage, and this came with a lot of pressure. After all, the Mirrorball Trophy is at stake! “Oh man, the biggest pressure is to make good creative choices,” Chmerkovskiy told OK! Magazine, via AOL, during an interview on November 11. “The steps are hard, but they’re the easy part. The hard part is to come up with the right song, with the right dance and [making sure it’s all] best suited for Alix.”
He also celebrated Earle for her incredible talents and discussed his goal for the evening. “I just want to make sure that the performances she puts out from here on out are the best ones of the night,” he said. “And that’s a lot of pressure — not because I just want to beat everybody, but because she deserves it. She’s worked so hard, I just want to finish it off for her.”
