Maureen McCormick and Christine Taylor Sparked a Viral Double-Take Moment

Original “Brady Bunch” star Maureen McCormick shared an iconic photo of herself and Christine Taylor. The latter resembles McCormick so much she played the role of Marcia Brady in the feature films “The Brady Bunch Movie” and “A Very Brady Sequel.”

McCormick wrote, “It’s a Sunshine Day. My heart is so full! I love and adore you Christine Taylor.”

In the post’s comments, Taylor responded, “A far too long overdue meeting of the Marcias! It was pure joy, my fellow Leo! I love you dearly, and until the next time, we’re gonna Keep On Groovin’.”

Fans were delighted to see this meeting of the actresses, quickly flooding the post with comments about their striking resemblance and playful surprise. Many joked that the pairing was a double take moment they didn’t know they needed.

“I felt a shift in the air pressure, and now realize that the meeting of the Marcias has put a correction in the cosmic alignment. Well done,” wrote one follower.

A second penned, “It’s so crazy how much you both look a like. Beauties x 2!!” A third Instagram user posted, “IM CRYINGGG!!! This is one of the best photos of ALL time!”

Taylor’s daughter, actress Ella Stiller, summed up the meeting in one word. She posted, “YAYYY!!”

Christine Taylor Perfectly Captured Maureen McCormick’s Marcia Brady in Two Hit Films

Christine Taylor honored the iconic role of Marcia Brady twice in two hit film spoofs of the iconic 1970 television series “The Brady Bunch.”

However, in 2023, the actress appeared on “Live With Kelly and Mark” to share that she had never met Maureen McCormick in person, three decades after playing the character.

“I grew up the biggest ‘Brady Bunch’ fan,” Taylor said. “It was my after school TV show. I knew every episode by heart.”

“We do the movie and most of the original cast did cameos in the first movie, except for Maureen McCormick and Eve Plumb. The first movie did well, we made a sequel and she came to the premiere and I got to take a picture.”

‘I never made fun of the character [of Marcia Brady]. I loved her, I wanted to be her. My mission in life is to become Maureen’s friend. I follow her on Instagram and I see her life and I want to run into Maureen,” Taylor concluded.

Happily, this long-awaited moment finally happened, allowing Christine Taylor to have her bucket list moment and for Maureen McCormick to meet the woman who just wanted to be her friend.
