“Dancing With the Stars” alum Mark Ballas didn’t win his season of “The Traitors,” but he has a much bigger prize waiting for him at home.
He and his wife, BC Jean, have no shortage of creative projects going on. However, one of their more ambitious endeavors involves parenthood.
In a recent video, Mark accidentally ended up giving an entire tour of their house while chasing their young son around.
Mark Ballas’ Son Leads Him in an Epic Chase Scene
Mark Ballas and BC Jean married in 2016. They went on to welcome their son, Banksi, in November 2023. While the couple keeps Banksi’s face hidden from the camera, they still love showing off his adorable antics around the house.
In his latest Instagram post, Mark revealed that his toddler certainly keeps him on his toes. In an epic before-bed nighttime routine, Banksi takes off, forcing his father to give chase.
“Dad Stuff 🥹 #dad” the professional dancer captioned the Instagram video.
“Join us for our nightly diaper dash,” Mark wrote on the video as he began chasing his son, Banksi. Music from an early Mario Kart soundtrack plays over the video as they dash around the home. Toys and other kid-friendly items are scattered around the area in a makeshift obstacle course as the race continues.
“He’s so fast. And as many of you know, I am an EXCELLENT runner,” Mark joked, referencing his time on “The Traitors.” The video ends with the dancer playfully lifting his son in the air, declaring Banksi the winner of the race.
Mark’s mother Shirley Ballas noted the video was “just beautiful.” Many other fans, friends, and family members flooded the comments section to say how sweet they found the video.
The Pro Dancer Returns to the Big Apple
Mark Ballas enjoys being a father above all else. However, he’s still performing at every opportunity. Most recently, he announced that he would join his former dance partner, Whitney Leavitt, in “Chicago” on Broadway.
Playbill reports that Mark will play Billy Flynn in the show from April 6 through May 3. Whitney is currently playing Roxie Hart now through March 15. She will take a brief break before returning to the role from March 23 through May 3.
“Dancing With the Stars” is expected to return to ABC this fall. It’s not currently known whether or not Mark Ballas will return with the rest of the pro dancers. However, his fans would love to see him have another chance at the Mirrorball Trophy.
