Fans React To Judges Scores After Whitney Leavitt’s Emotional Dance With Her Husband

“The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” star Whitney Leavitt and her professional dance partner, Mark Ballas, have a tough act to follow after last week’s Disney Night performance scored them top marks. For “Dancing with the Stars” Season 34’s Dedication Night in Week 5, fans were watching closely to see if the pair could bring that same fire and energy to their routine again, which judges and fans loved so much.

The pair performed a Contemporary to “Heal” by “American Idol” Season 23 winner Jamal Roberts. Leavitt is honoring her husband, Conner Leavitt, with the performance. But did they deliver the performance fans were hoping for?

Fans React to Whitney Leavitt’s Dedication Night Dance

The pair scored an impressive 33 out of 40 from the judges. Fans had an opportunity to react to the dance when the official “Dancing with the Stars” Instagram account shared several photos from the performance.

Reactions include comments on the beautiful choreography and dancing. However, some fans are also upset that Carrie Ann Inaba scored Leavitt a 9 and not Robert Irwin. “I like Whitney but Robert deserved the 9 as well,” a fan wrote.

There have also been remarks that while Leavitt danced brilliantly, she made what fans are calling an “obvious mistake.”

Whitney Leavitt Teases Performance With Conner

Before Show Day on Tuesday, October 14, Leavitt had teased her performance with Conner by posting hilarious videos on Instagram. But she also posted a serious message highlighting the importance of her husband. In the clip, she discussed what Conner meant to her and what dance means to her.

“I feel most like myself when dancing … so I am so grateful to share this story through dance,” she said, while wiping away tears. In the caption, Whitney paid tribute to Conner. “To my other half, I can’t wait to share this stage with you. I love you so much Conner this dance is for you,” she wrote.

Fans applauded Whitney’s vulnerability and for sharing this emotional moment so publicly.

The couple has shared a lot about their relationship with the public, which Leavitt addressed in an interview with People in May 2025. “I have family, I have Conner, and we know what’s real,” she said. “And so, I can go to sleep at night knowing that I’m with the love of my life, my best friend, and he knows me and I know him, and what else really matters? These people don’t really know who we are.”
