Along with Sarah Michelle Gellar and Alyson Hannigan, as well as late actors Nicholas Brendon and Anthony Head, Charisma Carpenter battled demons while delighting viewers on “Buffy the Vampire Slayer.” As fans of the show that ran from 1997 to 2003 will know, the actress played Cordelia Chase for the series’ first three seasons before appearing on the spinoff “Angel” for an additional four seasons.
Now, the 56-year-old star has shared how she’s been spending her time lately, which includes looking absolutely fabulous in an itty-bitty bikini. In fact, she looks so lovely in new photos that she posted online, that they even prompted a marriage proposal from one particularly smitten admirer.
Charisma Charmed Fans with Her New Bikini Photos
Carpenter took to Instagram on Friday, August 14, to share a collection of photos that gave her social media followers a look at her recent lakeside getaway. In a few of the shots, the star can be seen wearing a colorful string bikini as well as a matching scarf on her head and chic sunglasses. Along with wearing her hair in a single braid that was pulled over her shoulder, the actress appeared to have opted to go without any makeup. In one image, she had also layered a blue button-up top over her swimsuit.
In the caption of the post, Carpenter wrote, “Another wonderful week at the lake: sunning ☀️, paddleboarding, swimming, observing ducks, taking afternoon walks, discovering brave deer 🦌, exploring a new Mediterranean cookbook with gorgeous fish and produce from wonderful sources, attempting to get Cris more familiar with water dog life, and binging The Agency with Michael Fassbender and Jeffrey Wright.”
After Carpenter mentioned the fact that she had gotten the chance to visit White Silo Farm & Winery, which is owned by the family of a friend, she added that when it comes to “ocean life vs. lake life,” she feels like she has settled on the latter. She also told her followers, “These are the things that make working hard all worth it. To be fortunate enough to relax, recharge, and come back ready to dig deep again and again.”
Even though Carpenter limited who could comment on her post, quite a few of her friends and fans still left messages for the star, with one person noting that outdoor living seems to suit the actress, while another follower pointed out that she “look[s] amazing at 56.”
Someone else even proposed to the actress (we’re sure in a complimentary but not totally serious way), simply saying, “Marry me 😍”
Charisma Has Spent the Spring & Summer Sharing Bikini Pics
This isn’t the first time that Carpenter has shared a look at how she’s been spending her time this summer, and that includes multiple photos and videos of herself wearing bikinis. In fact, she started indulging in sunshine, sand and views of sparkling water when it was still spring.
For instance, back on May 17, the actress popped up an Instagram post that showed her wearing a sleek black swimsuit while spending the day on a beach. In the caption, she wrote, “OOO [out of office] until further notice! 🏖️”
The very next day, Carpenter posted another collection of photos, but this time she was wearing a red bikini as well as a straw hat. She followed that with posts of her in the same red swimsuit on May 19 and May 20, as well as May 22. Jump ahead to July 16, and she shared a reel in which she was again in what seems to be her favorite red two-piece, and wrote, “What a wonderful summer and it’s still early!”
