How & When to Watch the 2026 Golden Globes Red Carpet

The Golden Globe Awards may honor the best in film and television, but the night’s first headlines are often written on the red carpet.

Before winners take the stage inside the Beverly Hilton, Hollywood’s biggest stars arrive under flashing cameras, debuting custom fashion looks and offering early interviews that set the tone for awards season. For viewers at home, the red carpet has become an event in its own right, complete with live commentary, viral moments, and real-time reactions.

The 83rd Annual Golden Globe Awards will take place Sunday, Jan. 11, 2026, in Beverly Hills, California. Red carpet coverage begins hours before the ceremony, with multiple networks, streaming platforms, and digital outlets offering live access.

When the Red Carpet Starts

Red carpet coverage for the 2026 Golden Globes begins at approximately 6 p.m. Eastern, or 3 p.m. Pacific, according to Forbes. That gives viewers nearly two full hours of arrivals before the awards ceremony begins.

The Golden Globes ceremony itself will air live at 8 p.m. Eastern on CBS.

E! Network and Peacock

E! News will air its annual red carpet special, “Live From E!: Golden Globes 2026,” from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Eastern. The coverage will air on the E! Network for cable subscribers and stream live on Peacock.

Viewers with a television provider login can also watch through the E! and USA Network websites and mobile apps. According to Forbes, the E! red carpet coverage will feature interviews with nominees and presenters alongside fashion-focused commentary.

CBS and Paramount+

CBS will carry Entertainment Tonight’s official Golden Globes pre-show beginning at 7 p.m. Eastern. The pre-show will air live on CBS and feature interviews from the red carpet ahead of the ceremony.

Paramount+ Premium subscribers can stream both the pre-show and the awards ceremony live through local CBS affiliates. Paramount+ will also make the ceremony available on demand following the broadcast, according to Today.

Fashion and Entertainment Outlets

Several media outlets will stream their own red carpet coverage online, offering an alternative to traditional television broadcasts.

Women’s Wear Daily, commonly known as WWD, will stream its Golden Globes pre-show beginning at 6 p.m. Eastern on its website. The coverage will also stream across WWD’s social platforms, including Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, and X, with a focus on fashion and beauty.

Variety will begin streaming its Golden Globes red carpet coverage at 6:30 p.m. Eastern on its website and YouTube channel. Variety’s coverage typically emphasizes industry insight, celebrity interviews, and awards season context.

Golden Globes Social Media Channels

The Golden Globes will provide live red carpet coverage across its official social media accounts beginning at 6 p.m. Eastern. Fans can watch interviews and behind-the-scenes moments on platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, Threads, and YouTube.

Social media coverage offers a more informal viewing experience and often features short clips and real-time highlights as stars arrive.

Streaming Services Without Cable

Viewers without traditional cable can still watch the red carpet live. Streaming services such as Hulu + Live TV, YouTube TV, fuboTV, and DIRECTV Stream include both CBS and E! in their channel lineups, according to Today. These services allow viewers to watch live on televisions, computers, or mobile devices.

Why the Red Carpet Matters

The Golden Globes red carpet often drives the night’s biggest conversations. Fashion risks, standout looks, and unscripted moments frequently dominate social media before the ceremony even begins.

By tuning in early, viewers get more than a preview of the awards. They get a front-row seat to the glamour, anticipation, and spectacle that officially launches Hollywood’s awards season.
