Kai, 17, debuted her darkest hair color yet while joining Naomi at the Michael Kors 45th anniversary collection dinner in East Hampton on August 20.
The aspiring model traded her signature bright blonde hair for a rich chocolate-brown shade, creating a dramatic contrast with her mother’s platinum-blonde bob.
Kai Schreiber Debuted a Brunette Transformation
Kai has previously experimented with different shades of blonde, but her latest transformation took her hair in a completely new direction.
The teenager styled her newly brunette hair in a sleek ponytail, leaving several face-framing pieces loose around her face.
Kai complemented the darker color with a minimalist black column dress. The sleeveless design fell to her ankles and gave the outfit a simple, ’90s-inspired appearance.
She completed the monochromatic ensemble with black patent-leather sandals and a delicate silver pendant necklace. The polished look kept her new chocolate-brown hair as the center of attention.

Naomi followed the evening’s black-and-white color palette while putting her own twist on mother-daughter dressing.
The “Mulholland Drive” actress wore slouchy black leather trousers with a white asymmetrical top. The draped blouse covered one shoulder while leaving the other exposed.
A gold collar necklace, textured pointed-toe heels and bright red lipstick added interest to the otherwise neutral outfit.
While Naomi and Kai did not wear identical clothing, their coordinated black ensembles created a subtle twinning moment for the night.
The pair have previously embraced matching fashion at major events. They wore all-black outfits to a Balenciaga show during Paris Fashion Week in March 2026 and attended another Balenciaga presentation together the previous year.

Naomi and Kai were not the only fashionable mother-daughter pair at the Michael Kors dinner.
They posed with Christie Brinkley and her daughter, Sailor Brinkley-Cook, at Swifty’s at The Hedges Inn.
Christie and Sailor coordinated in similar red dresses featuring draped silhouettes. Their bright ensembles contrasted with Naomi and Kai’s black-and-white outfits.
Sailor, 28, is Christie’s daughter with former husband Peter Cook and has followed her famous mother into modeling.
Kai Schreiber Is Building a Modeling Career
Kai is the youngest child of Naomi and former partner Liev Schreiber. The exes also share son Sasha, 19.
The teenager has begun establishing herself in fashion and has already appeared on several major runways.
Kai walked in Valentino’s Spring 2025 show before making appearances for fashion houses including Celine and Moschino. She walked the Moschino Spring/Summer 2026 runway during Milan Fashion Week in September 2025.
Naomi has publicly celebrated her daughter’s fashion accomplishments and regularly supports her at industry events.
Kai has also become her mother’s frequent red-carpet companion, appearing alongside Naomi at movie premieres and fashion shows.
