English fashion designer, singer, and television personality Victoria Beckham has wowed fans in a video posted by her husband, the superstar businessman and former soccer player Sir David Beckham.
Per People, the couple — who recently starred in their own Netflix documentaries, “Beckham” and “Victoria Beckham” — met at a soccer match in 1997, got engaged in 1998, had their first child (Brooklyn) in 1999, and married later that year in a lavish and star-studded ceremony at Luttrellstown Castle outside Dublin, Ireland.
Sir David has now revealed that the couple stayed at a hotel in Portofino, Italy, in 1997, before announcing their relationship to the world. To mark the 29-year anniversary of the visit, the couple have returned to the establishment.
Suffice it to say that Victoria looks every bit as fabulous today as she did when the couple first visited, as seen in a social media post by her husband.
The Beckhams Returned to Portofino
Sir David Beckham shared his and his wife Victoria Beckham’s return to Portofino with the 87.8 million followers on his Instagram account.
His post includes one video and one photograph. In the video, Sir David walks behind his wife, narrating and filming her as she walks around the resort. He name-drops the hotel as being “Hotel Splendido.” She looks incredible wearing a black dress with sheer aspects that has colorful flowery patterning on the bottom half. In the photograph, Sir David and Victoria pose together with the Mediterranean Sea behind them. Victoria is wearing the same dress as she is in the video, while Sir David is wearing beige trousers and a white T-shirt with a cream sweater draped over his shoulders.
The caption on Sir David’s post reads, “29 years ago we came to portofino to this hotel before anyone knew we were dating and here we are back again 🩵 @victoriabeckham Portofino 97 🩵.”
