Danica McKellar had a message to send in a recent social media post as she celebrated her birthday. The alum of Hallmark’s “Matchmaker Mysteries” movies just turned 51, and she took to Instagram to mark the day with a makeup-free selfie that Hallmark fans loved.
Danica McKellar Embraced Feeling Fully Herself for Her Birthday
On January 3, McKellar posted a close-up selfie on her Instagram page. She wrote, “This is 51!”
“No makeup, no filters, just front-facing lighting and a healthy lifestyle to look – and more importantly – *feel* the best I can,” McKellar added.
She also noted, “Today I spent time with family (puzzling!), worked out, cold plunged in the ocean, and we’re about to have dinner – will add to my instastories soon!”
Ultimately, McKellar shared, she was “Feeling blessed beyond words today!!”
McKellar, who is not only a fan favorite actress but is also a mathematician, added one cool math-related tidbit to her Instagram caption. “Fun fact, 51 is not a prime number; 3 x 17 = 51.”
Fans and Colleagues Raved Over McKellar & Sent Lots of Birthday Wishes
McKellar’s colleagues and fans went wild over her makeup-free birthday selfie.
Candace Cameron Bure gushed, “Happy birthday Danica!! A beauty inside and out.”

A supporter’s comment read, “Happy birthday beauty! Also love that you threw in a math fact.”
Someone else shared, “You look stunning. Happy Birthday!!”
Angela Ribeiro, who is married to “Dancing with the Stars” co-host Alfonso Ribeiro, added, “Beautiful! Happy Birthday!”
McKellar competed on season 18 of “Dancing with the Stars,” which aired in the spring of 2014. She partnered with Val Chmerkovskiy, and they landed in sixth place. Alfonso Ribeiro joined “Dancing with the Stars” as a contestant the following season, which aired in the fall of 2014.
Ribeiro partnered with Witney Carson, and they won the Mirrorball trophy. He returned to take on co-hosting duties beginning with season 31.
Longtime fans of McKellar’s know that during her teen years, she starred on “The Wonder Years” as Winnie Cooper. After that show ended, she attended college and studied mathematics. While she has continued to act and work in the entertainment industry, she has also pursued projects that align with her passion for math, including writing a number of books.

I thought Danica left Hallmark.
