Kelley Wolf Issues Statement, Addressing New Charge Amid Split From Scott Wolf: ‘Utterly Shocked’

Life coach and former MTV star Kelley Wolf is facing a new legal hurdle, according to court documents obtained by multiple outlets on September 12, 2025. According to People, the estranged wife of actor Scott Wolf, whose most recent roles have been on FOX’s “Doc” and Hallmark’s “A Merry Scottish Christmas,” was charged with a new misdemeanor over accusations that she tried to contact one of their three kids.

Despite a temporary protective order filed on August 28 that barred Kelley from “any direct or indirect contact” with Scott or their three kids, a new court filing claims she tried to reach her 12-year-old son via a friend’s phone two days later, per Us Weekly.

This new charge is on top of three misdemeanors Kelley was charged with after her August 26 arrest — “one count of electronic communication harassment and two counts of electronic disclosure of personal identifying information,” according to TMZ. On September 12, Kelley told People in a statement that she was “utterly shocked” by the latest charge.

Scott, who was granted sole physical custody of his and Kelley’s kids in late June, filed a Statement of Probable Cause, People reported, claiming that Kelley contacted him on August 30 by “using a friend’s phone and attempting to contact her son through a friend’s son.” A summons for Kelley to appear in court on November 7 was also filed, per Us Weekly.

Regarding facing her fourth charge, Kelley said in an exclusive statement to People on September 12, “I am utterly shocked (for) the unabating aggressive use of a legal system and possibly more.”

Kelley then wrote, “(It) has become almost intolerable to my physical body, my family’s health and well-being period. I’m unclear as to how these things are allowed to be processed. I have (allegedly) been compliant with everything legal, I have said nothing disparaging about anyone at any time.”

“I’d like to also state for anyone who doesn’t seem to understand,” she continued, “that divorce can take time. Anyone who continues to put pressure on a mother when all she’s doing is fighting for her children is somebody who needs to check themselves.”

Kelley Wolf Has Returned to Social Media After Very Brief Stay at Treatment Center

After Kelley’s arrest, one of the conditions of her release was that she “participate in inpatient or outpatient medical, behavior, psychological, or psychiatric treatment,” per TMZ. At her arraignment on September 2, Kelley said she was “looking forward to” entering a rehabilitation treatment center on September 12, according to People.

Kelley wound up going sooner, checking in on September 7, People reported. But one day later, the outlet revealed Kelley had already left and was staying at a hotel.

The Wolfs then attended an emergency hearing on September 10, requested by Scott because, he said, Kelley had continued to disregard court orders. But when Kelley arrived with no legal representation, the judge refused to make any new rulings and ordered that Kelley return a few weeks later, on October 23, with a new attorney (her former lawyer dropped her as a client, per Page Six). The judge also ordered that Scott pay for some of her legal fees.

On September 11, Kelley returned to Instagram, posting several Stories reviewed by EntertainmentNow. In one, she shared a photo of a Utah rehab facility billed as a “luxury addiction treatment center.” Above it, she wrote, “Great place for PTSD recovery.”

Kelley also shared a video from Roar Africa, a luxury African safari company she’s traveled with before. Beneath the reel, she wrote, “Goodness me @roarafrica I have been doing all I can to come to you ha ha ha Let’s go my loves! The buffalo are calling to my soul!”

In Mid-August, Scott Wolf Called His Chaotic Split From Kelley Wolf ‘Tragic for All Involved’

Kelley, who was on MTV’s “Real World: New Orleans” and “The Challenge,” was married to Scott for 21 years before announcing their impending divorce on June 10.

She has since been placed under two involuntary holds by police, including one three days after her divorce announcement. Her August arrest stemmed from a slew of social media posts in which police said she disclosed others’ personal information, including one with Scott’s phone number, per Us Weekly.

On August 15, Scott broke his silence after a summer of hardships, telling People that his “continued hope is to have this most difficult chapter of our family’s lives remain as private as possible, however, the well being of my children is at stake, and that will always be my priority.”

The actor added, “There are some significant challenges that are making our situation incredibly difficult and contentious, and it is tragic for all involved.”
