“When Calls the Heart” actress Lori Loughlin has filed for divorce from Mossimo Giannulli, formally ending the couple’s nearly three-decade marriage after months of separation.
The Hallmark star filed divorce paperwork following the couple’s decision to live separately.
Loughlin listed Aug. 31, 2025, as their date of separation and cited irreconcilable differences.
What We Know So Far
According to the filing obtained by TMZ, Loughlin and Giannulli signed a prenuptial agreement before their 1997 marriage.
The couple indicated that questions involving spousal support would be addressed at a later date.
Loughlin and Giannulli share two daughters, Olivia Jade Giannulli and Bella Giannulli.
The couple’s finances are also expected to be part of the divorce proceedings.

The “Full House” star requested her soon to be ex husband cover her attorney’s fees and costs.
In addition, the outlet said their prenup agreement was amended on Aug. 11, 2015.
TMZ previously reported that their prenuptial agreement could keep much of their respective assets separate.
The former couple also sold their Hidden Hills mansion for $12.65 million late last year.
Their marriage endured a particularly turbulent period following the college admissions scandal, which brought widespread attention to the family.
Both Loughlin and Giannulli pleaded guilty in the case and served prison sentences.
The divorce filing now makes their separation official after years in the public eye.
She Recently Returned to Social Media
Loughlin is back on Instagram after a seven-year absence, and she marked her return with help from some familiar faces.
The actress, known for roles including Aunt Becky on “Full House,” Jennifer Shannon in Hallmark’s “Garage Sale Mystery” films and Abigail Stanton on “When Calls the Heart,” returned to the social media platform Aug. 31.
Loughlin’s “Full House” family joined her for the occasion. John Stamos, Dave Coulier, Scott Weinger, Candace Cameron Bure, Jodie Sweetin and Andrea Barber reunited to recreate the sitcom’s famous wake-up call, while archival footage of the late Bob Saget was also included.
“Wake up, San Francisco! I’m back on IG 💕,” Loughlin wrote.
A week later, Loughlin shared another Reel featuring personal highlights, including a birthday celebration, a trip to Paris and dancing with her former “Full House” co-stars.
The video used motivational audio encouraging viewers to consider positive outcomes alongside their fears.
“Here’s to things working out,” she captioned the video.
Bure showed her support in the comments, writing, “Love you!! 💖” Loughlin responded, “love you Candy cane 💕.”
The actress had largely kept her personal life out of the spotlight as the couple dealt with the aftermath of the admissions case and its impact on their family.
Loughlin and Giannulli’s marriage began in 1997, when they married after dating for a period of time. Nearly 30 years later, their relationship is moving toward a legal end with the divorce filing.
The filing leaves the couple to resolve the remaining financial and legal issues associated with their split as they move forward separately.
They previously announced they were separating in October of 2025.
“Lori and Mossimo are living apart now,” a representative for Loughlin previously told Page Six. “There are no legal proceedings underway.”
