Former “Queer Eye” star Bobby Berk has a new HGTV show debuting soon. Now, fans can get their first peek at it.
On November 26, People shared a clip of “Junk or Jackpot?” featuring Berk. The six-episode series focuses on Berk helping people with huge memorabilia collections that have turned their “home life into chaos.”
Berk will help each person sort through their collections to determine what price the pieces might fetch in a sale. He will face some significant uphill battles as he tries to ease each collector toward letting go of their collections.
The Collections on Bobby Berk’s Show Are Unique & Massive
The “Junk or Jackpot?” sneak peek shows that one woman’s home is filled to the brim with “Wonder Woman” memorabilia. Another collects “Star Wars” figures, and someone else doing the show has a complete Super Nintendo set.
“Junk or Jackpot?” will show Berk helping a woman who has an extensive vinyl record collection, and another whose collection is focused on fashion.
Berk asks each of the collectors how many pieces they have, and the answers shown in the sneak peek range from 2,000 to 10,000.
One woman admits her collection has taken up so much of the upper level of her home that there is no room for her grandchildren to stay when visiting.
Berk shared the clip on his Instagram page, and fans were thrilled to check it out.
One person commented, “OMG LOVE THIS! Binge is scheduled post Max.”
Another added, “OMG IM SOOO EXCITED!!! Perfect timing two days before my bday! Can’t wait!!”
Someone else exclaimed that this was “The show we always wanted for you.”
The Renovation Results Prompted Big Reactions
In his trademark style, Berk will incorporate both humor and a bit of snark while working with the homeowners to determine their next steps.
“To get the home they dream of, they have to be willing to sell some of their precious treasures,” Berk says at one point.
Some of the collections contain rare items that are actually worth a significant amount of money. However, at least some of the homeowners struggle to accept that parting with the items, even in exchange for a big payday, is the right move.
Berk still makes significant progress, at least in some cases. The owners will see a reveal of the space Berk renovates for them after dealing with their massive collections. It looks like there are plenty of fabulous reactions along with a fair number of tears.
The “Wonder Woman” collector is shown in the “Junk or Jackpot?” preview admitting, “I feel like there was life before Bobby and after Bobby.”
The new HGTV show premieres on Friday, December 26.
