“Property Brothers” star Drew Scott shared a touching tribute for International Women’s Day and included an image of his late mother-in-law, Habu.
“Watching Piper grow up surrounded by strong women is such a joy.❤️ Happy #InternationalWomensDay!” Drew captioned the post, which he shared via Instagram on Sunday, March 8.
In addition to the photo of Habu posing on a front porch, the HGTV favorite shared a selfie with his wife, Linda Phan, a photo of his mother, Joanne Scott, and an adorable image of his daughter, Piper, climbing into her toy bin.
Drew Scott Shared the News of Habu’s Passing
In early February, the “Celebrity IOU” star shared the tragic news of his mother-in-law’s passing.
“My heart is broken,” Scott began his heartfelt post on February 5. “We have lost one of the most beautiful, kind and selfless people this planet has ever seen. Linda’s mom is truly one of a kind and was taken from us far too soon.”
He continued, “Thank you Habu for bringing so much light to our lives. Your laugh was infectious, and I will always remember our late nights playing your favorite game 四色牌遊戲.”
Habu has been a part of Scott’s family for more than 15 years, as he and Phan first met in 2010, according to People. After tying the knot in 2018, the happy couple welcomed son Parker, 3, and daughter Piper, 21 months.
“I feel helpless in trying to comfort Linda and her family but know memories of all the beautiful times with Habu will live on with us forever,” the realtor continued in his February announcement. “You were always there for us and all 10 grandkids. The hardest thing for me is to know we won’t have you here to see Parker and Piper grow into strong and compassionate adults like you. I love you. I miss you.”
