Ben and Erin Napier bring a new “Home Town” spinoff to HGTV on May 10. “Home Town: Inn This Together” sees the couple offering their expertise to friends and family who take on a huge hotel renovation project. The team has been dropping spoilers ahead of the series premiere and Erin shares the latest update on the project after a fire broke out.
‘Home Town: Inn This Together’ Features Massive Hotel Renovation Project
The “Home Town: Inn This Together” series premiere airs on May 10. Over the course of four episodes, HGTV fans will see the Napiers join forces with their friends to turn an old department store into a beautiful hotel.
On May 10, Erin took to Instagram to promote the show’s premiere, offering up some details about what to expect.
“TONIGHT is the beginning of ‘Inn This Together’: a new series that will last 4 weeks, and it’s about a hotel, sure,” she explained in the caption. “But it’s really about how brave and creative and talented our friends are who put everything on the line to save a dead corner of our downtown.”
She continued, “We’ll help them along the way, but they are the stars of this story that you will root for and cheer with and cry with. This show is about the things past generations passed down, adoption and the grasping for legacy, building while facing setbacks, craftsmanship, loss, and joy.”
“It deserves awards,” the HGTV star added. “Only tune in if you want to be encouraged to GO FOR IT in your life, no matter what enormous challenges you face. Watch tonight at 8/7 ct on @hgtv or tomorrow @discoveryplus @hbomax.”
An HGTV Instagram post promoting the premiere of “Home Town: Inn This Together” gave a taste of Erin assisting with guest room design. Each room type will have a different colorway — and the HGTV star was happy to give her input about the best color options.
“It’s very important in life to have a friend who will push you to embrace the color yellow,” the caption noted.
One fan commented, “Color is Erin’s superpower.”
Erin Napier Gives Hotel Update After a Fire Broke Out in 2025
An April 10 HGTV press release provided more details about the show.
“Ben and Erin Napier will lend a helping hand in Laurel, Mississippi’s biggest renovation project yet in the new spinoff series ‘Home Town: Inn This Together.’ The Napiers, who have successfully revived many outdated homes and historical locations in their small town will lean in to help their family and best friends Jim and Mallorie Rasberry and Josh Nowell who plan to restore the dilapidated 1930 Kress building in downtown Laurel,” the press release explained.
There are many obstacles in the process of converting the old space into The Heirloom hotel, however.
“The enterprising trio believes the 25,000-square-foot space that’s been vacant for 40 years will be the perfect setting for a hotel, food venue and storefront, but they’ll face an array of challenges on the way to make their dream a reality, including: crumbling walls, flooded floors, seven figure budget dilemmas and a devastating fire that severely damages the hotel post renovation,” the release added.
For fans wondering what happened with the structure after a fire broke out in August 2025, Erin provided an update. She wrote in the comments of her Instagram post, “There is nothing but waiting now to see what happens with insurance.”
