Joanna Gaines Shares Rare Family Photos

Joanna Gaines and her family shared a special day with their father.

The Magnolia Network owner shared a photo series with her sisters Mary Kay McCall and Teresa Criswell. The trio, along with mom Nan Stevens, posed for a family photo with the birthday boy and his gorgeous cake.

Additional photos showed Jerry smiling in front of the buffet spread for his special day. The family appeared to celebrate at the Gaineses’ Waco, Texas, farmhouse.

Within the photodump, Joanna included a throwback photo with her sisters and dad as well as black and white photos from Jerry’s youth.

The final photo in the post was the girl dad’s military portrait. Jerry served in the United States Army and was stationed in South Korea, where he met his wife.

Fans shared in the family’s joy with heartfelt messages for Jerry’s special day.

“Awesome photos, what a full and beautiful life 🙏👏 Happy 76th!” one follower wrote.

“Happy Birthday! We’re so thankful for the many gifts of your talented daughter. Such an inspiration for so many including me 🎂🌷🌸🌿” another added.

A third chimed in, “This is so special, what a beautiful family ❤️❤️”

Joanna Gaines Gushed About Her Parents’ Love Story

During a November 2022 episode of her “The Stories We Tell With Joanna Gaines,” the mother of five sat down with her parents to talk about their love story.

“You guys were at a party,” Joanna said of their first meeting. “Oh, who cares, everybody knows. She likes the Beatles — it was a pot party. It’s fine.”

According to Nan, she knew immediately that Jerry would be her husband one day. After falling in love, the couple exchanged letters for months after his return to the states, before Jerry proposed and sent her a plane ticket.

“I can’t imagine the idea of a 19-year-old little girl getting on a plane, flying to America,” Joanna said. “Dad picks you up in his VW Bug in San Francisco. You get married on the courthouse steps in your cutoff jean shorts, tank top, all the things. You drive all the way from there to Wichita to start your life.”
