Sarah and Bryan Baeumler are marking a major marriage milestone.
The HGTV stars just celebrated their 21st wedding anniversary.
In an Instagram post, Bryan Baeumler put up a picture of he and wife Sarah in his airplane, with nothing but blue sky and white clouds out the window. In the post, he wrote, “21 years of ups and downs…and somehow we’ve managed to keep the takeoffs equal to the landings so far. We even picked up 4 amazing (non paying) little passengers! Happy Anniversary @sarahbaeumler 💙🩵”
The “Renovation Island” stars recently closed out another season at their Caerula Mar Resort. That’s the resort island in the Bahamas that the pair renovated during their hit HGTV show.
In an Instagram post, Sarah wrote, “And that’s a wrap on the season at @caerulamar. @bryanbaeumler and I just want to say a huge thank you — to everyone who visited, to our amazing team on the island, and to all the people behind the scenes who help make this place what it is. Caerula Mar is a special spot for us, and sharing it with all of you means more than we can say. We’re already counting down the days until we open again in early October. Until then, thank you for being a part of our little piece of paradise. 💙”
In his own post about the end of the resort’s season, Bryan wrote, “Quick delivery trip to @caerulamar with @sarahbaeumler during our seasonal closure…actually my favourite time of year in the Bahamas as long as the big storms stay out to sea!”
Bryan & Sarah Baeumler Debut New Show ‘Building Baeumler’
The couple’s newest series, “Building Baeumler,” just debuted Sunday, September 7, but only on the Home Network in Canada.
In March, Sarah posted a picture on Instagram that said the show would also air on HGTV. But so far there has been no announcement of if or when “Building Baeumler” will debut in the U.S.
In the posts, Sarah indicated that the show would be on HGTV this fall. She wrote, “This weekend, we hosted our official Grand Opening after our renovation, that will be featured on HGTV this fall. Thank you to the Islamorada Chamber for the wonderful ribbon cutting, the guests that traveled near and far to join the celebration, and to our incredible staff for making the event a success and for making P&P what it is today. We are so excited to share the new and improved resort! 🌴”
A Timeline of Sarah & Bryan Baeumler’s Relationship
According to HGTV, Bryan and Sarah Baeumler first met in high school. But they didn’t start dating until a decade later.
That’s when a mutual friend sent a group email that both were included on. And that sparked a conversation between the two, leading to their first date in 2001.
Sarah says Bryan “pulled out all the stops” for the date. He took her to see a theatrical version of “The Lion King” and then out to eat at a sushi restaurant.
In 2004, Bryan’s planned mountain top proposal was ruined by fog and a flat tire. But he recouped and sealed the deal.
Bryan and Sarah got married September 3, 2004, at the Graydon Hall Manor in Toronto, Canada.
But once again, weather intervened on their planned Florida honeymoon, when a hurricane hit the coast. Instead, they went on a last-minute adventure to Las Vegas.
The Baeumlers have four children, including sons Quintyn, 20, and Lincoln, 14, and two daughters, Charlotte, 18, and Josephine, 12.
Sarah and Bryan recently drove Charlotte to High Point University in North Carolina to begin her freshman year of college more than 12-hours from their Florida home.
In an emotional Instagram post, Sarah wrote, “Today we hugged Charlotte tight and said one last goodbye as she begins her new chapter at High Point University. I don’t think anything quite prepares you for this moment as a parent – the joy of watching your child step into their future, mixed with the heartache of letting them go.”
Sarah goes on, “For years we’ve watched her grow, stumble, get back up, laugh, and discover who she is. Now she carries all those lessons, memories, and pieces of home with her as she builds a life of her own. It’s a reminder that parenting is a constant struggle between holding on and learning when to release, trusting that we’ve given her the roots and wings she needs.”
