Gwen Stefani Celebrates Her Son Zuma’s 18th Birthday With Heartfelt Post

Gwen Stefani is celebrating a big milestone in her son’s life.

On Friday, August 21, the No Doubt frontwoman, dedicated a sweet video montage to her son Zuma on Instagram. The video featured footage of Zuma throughout the years, including him playing guitar and clips of him with his family.

“Happiest 18th birthday Zuma 🤍 i cannot believe u are 18 today!!” the56-year-old began her heartfelt post. “Watching u grow into the sweetest + most talented young man has been one of the greatest gifts of my life 🥰 we love u soooo much Zuma ❤️❤️❤️❤️.”

Zuma Is A Budding Musician

Zuma looks like he is going to follow in his rockstar father’s footsteps. The recent video to celebrate his 18th included footage of Zuma singing and playing guitar.

Stefani, shares Zuma and sons Kingston, 20, and Apollo, 12, with ex-husband, Bush frontman Gavin Rossdale. The couple split in 2015, with Stefani marrying her fellow “The Voice” mentor Blake Shelton in 2021.

On Zuma’s 16th birthday, he performed alongside his dad during a concert in New Jersey. “It was so incredible to celebrate Zuma’s 16th birthday with 18,000 people screaming happy birthday,” Rossdale told People at the time.

Zuma made his stage debut in July 2024, performing at Blake Shelton’s Nashville bar.

“I’m really careful to not push. I take pride in listening to what they’re doing and not sharing anything I’m doing,” Rossdale said. “Yeah, ’cause it’s much more healthy.”

“Zuma’s begun recording. He’s out of control,” Rossdale told Us Weekly last July. “I’m not even the best singer in my house anymore.”

“I’m really careful to not push. I take pride in listening to what they’re doing and not sharing anything I’m doing,” Rossdale added. “Yeah, ’cause it’s much more healthy.”

Her eldest son, Kingston, also has the performing bug. In August 2023, Kingston performed publicly for the very first time at the Oklahoma location of Shelton’s Ole Red.

“I was bawling. It’s crazy when you have children, and they learn what their gift is,” proud mom Stefani told People at the time.

Blake Shelton has also been a major presence in Kingston, Zuma and Apollo’s lives.

The country star has spoken with pride about the trio’s musical abilities and admitted he’s impressed by how natural they are on stage.

“When they get up there, you would assume they’ve been doing this for 10 years. They’re very comfortable and not rattled at all,” Shelton told People in May.

“They have three professional musicians in their life and have grown up standing on the side of the stages watching this their entire life, so they have it in their mind how to be when they get out there,” Shelton added.

But even with a long and illustrious career behind him, Blake admitted his stepsons appear to have taken to the stage more naturally than he ever did. “Man, I sure wasn’t that calm when I would get onstage,” he laughed.
