Khloé Kardashian Pays Tribute to Dolly Parton: ‘There Will Never Be Another Dolly’

Khloé Kardashian is remembering Dolly Parton following the legendary singer’s death, calling her a “once-in-a-lifetime soul” whose influence extended far beyond music.

The “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” alum has long been a fan of Parton and has publicly celebrated the country icon on several occasions.

Kardashian even leaned into her admiration for Parton when she celebrated her 40th birthday in June 2024. The Good American founder shared a video on Instagram showing herself getting glammed up for the occasion while old audio of Parton discussing a hectic television schedule played in the background.

The video eventually revealed Kardashian in an all-denim outfit featuring a tube top, high-waisted shorts, and a matching cowgirl hat, a look that appeared to pay tribute to Parton’s signature country style.

Her longtime admiration for Parton made her emotional tribute following the singer’s death particularly personal.

Kardashian shared an emotional tribute celebrating Parton’s talent, generosity, and lasting impact.

“I swear I believed Mrs. Dolly was immortal,” Kardashian wrote. “Some people are so extraordinary, their existence feels almost impossible. Dolly was one of those people.”

Kardashian reflected on the privilege of admiring Parton throughout her life and eventually meeting her.

“A woman whose light, heart, talent, and humanity changed this world forever,” she continued. “To have admired her was a gift. To have met her, spent time in her presence, and somehow been lucky enough that Dolly Parton knew my name… I will never have words big enough for what that means to me.”

She concluded her tribute by reflecting on Parton’s extraordinary legacy.

“What an astronomical human being,” Kardashian wrote. “What a legacy. What a loss. There will never be another Dolly.”

Dolly Parton Faced Health Challenges Before Her Death

Parton’s death comes after a difficult period in her personal life, including the loss of her husband, Carl Dean.

Dean, whom Parton had been married to for 58 years, died in March 2025. Following his death, Parton was open about how caring for him during his final months affected her own well-being.

The country music icon acknowledged that she had allowed some of her own health concerns to take a back seat while focusing on her husband.

Despite those challenges, Parton continued working and remained committed to several projects.

Parton Gave a Health Update Days Before Her Death

Just four days before news of her death was confirmed, Parton offered a positive update about her health during an interview with People published August 21.

Parton acknowledged that social media and artificial intelligence had contributed to increased speculation about her well-being.

“I think because we live in a 24/7 world with social media, everything gets magnified in ways it wasn’t years ago,” she said. “I used to joke that I’m the Queen of the Tabloids, but now I guess I can say I’m the Queen of Social Media AI!”

Parton also reassured fans that she remained focused on her work despite continuing to recover.

“Seriously, though, even though I’m still healin’, I’m still workin’!” she said. “You know me, as I’ve often said, I’ve dreamed myself into a corner, and I still have so many things I want to achieve, so I’m gonna keep on working as long as I can to see everything come to life.”

Her comments offered fans an encouraging glimpse at her mindset just days before her death.

Dolly Parton Leaves Behind an Enduring Legacy

Parton became one of the most recognizable figures in country music after launching her career in the 1960s. Her songwriting, distinctive voice, and larger-than-life personality helped turn her into an international entertainment icon.

Beyond her music, Parton became known for her philanthropy, business ventures and charitable work. Her Imagination Library has provided millions of free books to children, while Dollywood became a major attraction in her home state of Tennessee.

Her career also extended into film and television, with memorable roles in movies including “9 to 5,” “Steel Magnolias,” and “The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas.”

For generations of fans, Parton represented much more than a country music star. She became a symbol of perseverance, generosity, and authenticity.

For Kardashian, that connection was personal. Her birthday tribute showed just how much Parton’s image and music had resonated with her, while her latest message reflected the admiration she carried for the singer beyond her public persona.

“To have admired her was a gift,” Kardashian wrote. “To have met her, spent time in her presence, and somehow been lucky enough that Dolly Parton knew my name… I will never have words big enough for what that means to me.”

As tributes continue to pour in from across the entertainment world, Parton’s influence is being remembered not only through the music she created, but through the people she inspired and the legacy she built throughout her remarkable career.
