Sara Bareilles has something coming.
The Grammy-winning singer-songwriter shared a new video message on her website and social media on May 27, teasing new music, visuals and a return to the road.
“Hi everybody. Something’s coming soon,” Bareilles said, calling the clip her “boiler plate teaser video.”
The “Love Song” singer kept most of the details under wraps, but she confirmed the new chapter will include music.
“I’m finally, after many years, making art again,” she said. “Music, specifically, heard of it?“
She also mentioned “making records,” taking photos, making videos and “going on tour.”
“All kinds of things are happening and something big is coming soon,” Bareilles said. “One of the things is big and I’m getting off point, but you get it. Stay tuned!”
Bareilles did not announce a release date, tour schedule or project title in the video. Fans can unlock the message through her website after signing up for her newsletter. It’s also posted on her official YouTube channel.
Sara Bareilles Teases New Tour
Bareilles’ last official tour was tied to “Amidst the Chaos,” her fifth studio album.
The “Amidst the Chaos Tour” took place in 2019, beginning Oct. 5 and wrapping Nov. 26. The North American run included 30 cities, with Bareilles performing at arenas and major venues across the country.
“Amidst the Chaos” was released in April 2019. The album included “Fire,” “No Such Thing” and “Armor.”
Bareilles has performed live since then, though not as part of a traditional tour. In 2024, she played several symphony shows, including performances at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles and the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C.
GettyIn her May 27 video, Bareilles did not frame the tour tease as a one-night event or special concert. She listed touring as part of the larger rollout, along with records, photos and videos.
The singer has not shared dates, cities, venues or ticket details yet.
The announcement would mark her first official tour since 2019, giving fans their first full Bareilles tour cycle in years.
Sara Bareilles New Music Comes After Last Album in 2019
GettyBareilles last released a studio album in April 2019 with “Amidst the Chaos.”
The album marked her first major solo album release since 2013’s “The Blessed Unrest.” It also brought Bareilles one of the biggest awards moments of her career.
“Saint Honesty,” a track from “Amidst the Chaos,” won the Grammy Award for Best American Roots Performance in 2020. It was Bareilles’ first Grammy win.
Bareilles has stayed busy since then with other projects, including work in theater and television. Still, she has not released another full-length studio album since “Amidst the Chaos.”
Her new message pointed directly to music being part of what is next.
“Making music, making records,” Bareilles said in the video.
She did not say whether the new project is a full album, a single, an EP or something else. She also did not reveal when the next announcement will arrive.
For now, Bareilles is asking fans to stay tuned.
“Something big is coming soon,” she said.
