“Real Housewives of Potomac” star Gizelle Bryant recently went viral after photos surfaced of her with Angelina Jolie and their daughters. Now, several days later, the Bravo fan-favorite is opening up about her connection to the movie star, stating that their daughters attend the same university.
This comes as Bryant is currently filming season 11 of RHOP.
RHOP Star Gizelle Bryant Attended a Mother-Daughter Event with Angelina Jolie
GettyBryant took to her “Reasonably Shady” podcast, which she cohosts with Robyn Dixon, on May 11, to discuss the much-buzzed-about photo with Jolie and their daughters. Specifically, Dixon asked her about the photo, noting how viral it had become.
The RHOP star explained that Jolie’s daughter, Zahara, also attends Spelman University and that they are sorority sisters. She also noted that Jolie’s daughter had been “very kind” to her daughter, Angel. According to her, “Kind of like been very big sisterly to her and they have a relationship, and it’s very sweet to me.”
After that, Bryant revealed that Jolie’s daughter helped navigate going to college and having a parent who happens to be a public figure. Stating that, “She really felt that she could help, not that Angelina and I are in the same public sphere; however, there are similarities, and Zahara definitely wanted to help Angel from that perspective, I think as much as she could.”
After that, Bryant stated that the photo stemmed from a mother-daughter luncheon, saying she was “their guest and we sat at their table.” She discussed the event, “It was great,” and recalled that Zahara called Jolie “a superhero and a warrior.”
Gizelle Had High Praise For Angelina
GettyBryant and Dixon continued their discussion, with the RHOP star giving her account of Jolie at the event. According to her, “Angelia is just like a regular mom. She was in mom mode, which was great to see. She seems very cool. I want to let the world know she is very cool.”
From there, she noted that Jolie ate the food at the event and drank the champagne despite it perhaps not being “high-end,” saying, “it was probably middle or low.” Bryant then shared that she had complimented Jolie on how her daughter, who is graduating soon, turned out.
In the end, the RHOP star summed it up as “it was all good.” Dixon remarked on how low a profile Jolie maintains, making it all the more remarkable that they would end up photographed together.
It’s Unclear When RHOP Season 11 Will Premiere
GettyAccording to Bravo, production on “The Real Housewives of Potomac” season 11 began in April 2026. Among the cast this time are not only Dixon, who left before season 9, but also Karen Huger, who did not appear in season 10. Specifically, Dixon is returning as a friend of the show, but Huger will be a housewife.
The rest of the cast includes Ashley Darby, Wendy Osefo, Stacey Rusch, and Tia Glover. There are also rumors that Monique Samuels has recently signed on as a friend of the show after not being included in the initial cast announcement.
