Melissa Gorga is giving “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” fans another reason to get excited about the show’s long-awaited return.
With filming on Season 15 now complete, Gorga says viewers can expect plenty of fun from a revamped cast and a noticeably different dynamic between some familiar faces.
“I had so much fun this season,” Gorga told People at the August 4 premiere of “The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Roaring 20th.”
The new season marks RHONJ’s return after nearly two years away and brings back Gorga, Teresa Giudice and Dolores Catania alongside new cast members.
Melissa Gorga Says ‘RHONJ’ Season 15 Felt Like Earlier Seasons
GettyGorga told People that filming “wrapped with a bang,” but another part of her update offered an intriguing clue about the tone of Season 15.
“The cast is so funny,” she said, adding that the experience reminded her of earlier seasons when the cast could “have a lot of fun and be goofy.”
That represents a notable change for a series that entered its hiatus following a particularly divided Season 14.
Bravo officially announced in March that Gorga, Giudice and Catania would return as the three veteran cast members. Additional cast members were expected to join them.
Gorga had already expressed enthusiasm about the changes before filming got underway.
“I’m actually happy about all the change, everything that’s new,” she told Us Weekly in May.
Now that filming is finished, her enthusiasm doesn’t appear to have changed. Gorga told People that she loves the new cast, while Giudice similarly praised the newcomers and predicted the season would be “off the charts.”
Teresa Giudice & Melissa Gorga Entered the Season on New Terms
Perhaps the biggest difference wasn’t a new cast member at all.
Gorga and Giudice entered Season 15 after repairing their relationship following years of family tension.
The reconciliation even played a role in the timing of RHONJ’s return. Andy Cohen told Bravo’s The Daily Dish in June that seeing the family reconnect helped make the moment feel right to bring the show back.
Gorga has also spoken positively about the change.
“Obviously, Teresa and I are getting along, which just makes everything so much better,” she told People, adding that the improved relationship made the experience feel “safe.”
Cohen subsequently offered another promising clue about the atmosphere during filming.
During a July appearance on “Watch What Happens Live,” Cohen said Giudice appeared to be having fun filming “for the first time in the history” of the show.
‘RHONJ’ Season 15 Marks a Major Reset
Season 15 arrives after one of the longest breaks in RHONJ history.
The Season 14 reunion was canceled in 2024, and the series remained off the air as Bravo considered how to move forward.
When the network finally announced its return in March 2026, only Giudice, Gorga and Catania were the initially confirmed members of the previous cast.
Margaret Josephs announced her departure ahead of the new season, making the upcoming episodes a significant reset for the long-running franchise.
Bravo has not yet announced a premiere date for Season 15.
However, with filming now finished, Gorga’s comments provide an early indication of what viewers can expect.
