Melissa Gorga Reveals Why Reconciliation With Teresa Giudice ‘Needs’ to Last

Melissa Gorga says her relationship with Teresa Giudice is in a great place several months after their reconciliation from their years-long family feud.

On Feb. 3, the “Real Housewives of New Jersey” veteran appeared on the “Not Skinny But Not Fat” podcast and shared why she believes this reconciliation will be different than past attempts.

“You know what? I think it needs to last,” she told host Amanda Hirsch. “And if it doesn’t, then shame on all of us. Like shame on all of us if we can’t pull this through. Like life’s too short.”

“I feel like I don’t know that there’s any other tries after this, right?” Gorga continued. “It’s kind of one of those things where it’s like I couldn’t imagine… we’re not even going to talk about that because it’s going to last.”

“This time it’s going to it’s going to be okay,” the Envy boutique owner added. “I think there were too many people in everyone’s ears and just, you know, too many people trying to make points or prove things that obviously are not going to be proven. …So, it’s like just I don’t know what when it got so bad, but it got really bad. It’s been three years.”

Melissa Gorga Explained Why the Reconciliation Is Not ‘Fake’

There has been speculation that Melissa and her husband Joe Gorga reconciled with Teresa Giudice and her husband Luis Ruelas in an attempt to save their spots on RHONJ amid rumors of a cast shakeup.

On his Sirius XM show Andy Cohen Live, Bravo producer Andy Cohen previously admitted that it was not “a sustainable universe” to have two “camps” on the Bravo reality show.

“We want to see them on the show, they’re both, you know, stars and they’ve been on the show forever,” he added. “But I stand by what I’m saying that for the future it’s not sustainable.”

On NSBNF, Gorga assured fans that her reconciliation with Giudice was not made-for-TV.

“If we all still didn’t get along the way that we didn’t, it would not be worth it to fake it for this show,” she explained. “Let’s just put it that way, because it would be, it is not a fun time to really not like someone and spend time with them, or even fake spend time with them. So everyone can believe that this is real because we would literally just pass on the show.”

“I’m not going to be around someone that I feel is toxic or not good for my life or I’m scared of,” she added. “I’m not going to do it. So it’s real because I would never go any other way.”

The mom of three also explained that going forward, all parties will need to take “ownership” of their actions and “take a second to realize that it’s not a big deal” if they get upset with someone.

Gorga reiterates that she believes this time there will be a “happily ever after” for them all.

“I think it is. It is this time. We’re good,” she said. “Nobody wants to fight. Nobody wants to argue. …  [Joe] is like a kid. You could see him, like I mean, who wouldn’t be happy to reconnect with their only sibling?”

RHONJ casting remains in limbo for Season 15. In December, Gorga told Extra TV that the show is coming back. “We just don’t have any details yet,” she said at the time.

Nearly two months later,  she told Hirsch that she knew that producers are “actively searching for new girls.” Gorga added that she would “one hundred percent” return to RHONJ if asked back.

“There’s a secret piece of me that’s like how long the show’s not going to go on forever,” she admitted. “I wouldn’t say that I’m not going to be disappointed [if I’m not asked to return]… Listen. I’ve been here a long time. I put a lot of effort into it. I put a lot of personal life right into it. But do I think I’d be devastated? Like it’s ruining me? Like I wouldn’t.”

  1. I’m done with hateful fake Teresa. She calls her brother’s wife a whore on national tv for her niece and nephews to see. Doesn’t have her only niece in her wedding. She’s disgusting and behaves like a spoiled rotten child. Her friends aren’t friends, their loyalists. My friends are honest with me. My friends don’t kiss my ass even when I’m wrong. Delores makes every cause under the sun for Teresa’s behavior. I love Margaret, she’s the real deal. Please leave out of the show Teresa, Jennifer and Jackie.
