Hulk Hogan’s Daughter Brooke Hogan Handles Criticism of Her Bikini Photo Like a Pro, as She Mourns Her Dad

WWE legend Hulk Hogan died on July 24, 2025, and his daughter, Brooke Hogan, has been mourning him in her own way. On Thursday, May 21, she shared an Instagram post with her fans of herself at the beach. The location is special to her because it is where she feels closest to her dad.

Brooke Hogan Shares Heartfelt Tribute To Hulk Hogan

The first photo shows Brooke in a bright lime-green string bikini as she enjoys the sun and poses near the shoreline. In the photos that followed, she shared a closer look at Hulk’s life, including pictures of him steering a boat, grilling, and enjoying being out on the water.

In the caption, she shared her thoughts in a long, heartfelt message. “Needed some time with my thoughts, my daddy, and the ocean he loved so much,” she wrote. “Every wave hit my heart like a memory that felt like it was yesterday. The waves carried the bass in his voice, the salt water felt like his hugs. The smell of the ocean smelled like so many days on the boat we spent together. I remember him whisking me across the surf like King Triton holding his Little Mermaid… if I could breathe underwater, I’d spend forever under the sea if it meant being that much closer to him. The tears were endless today.”

Her beautiful words resonated with many fans and loved ones, who left supportive comments on the post. “You’ve been on my mind so much. Love you,” a comment reads. “Beautiful post I love you. Let the healing begin,” another person wrote.

Fans also expressed what Hulk meant to them. “I met him two years ago. When I tell you his hug made my tears flow all because i got memories of my childhood with my brothers watching him wrestle,” a fan shared. “This man was our hero and when I hugged him I felt like I was hugging someone that saved me as a child and in many ways he did. I will always remember that day!”

Brooke Hogan Tackles Criticism Like an Absolute Pro

Sadly, there were also unkind comments on the post, which Brooke later addressed in a follow-up Instagram post, slamming fans for thinking she wanted attention for her photo. The “Hogan Knows Best” star also revealed in a series of photos that water had always played an important role in her life, and that she had grown up in Florida. She was affectionately referred to as “a little fish” by her beloved father. “Always in the sun. Always in the pool. Always with my dad,” she wrote.

She continued, “And I know he loved me, and I loved him. I think more than anyone ever did.” She discussed how their relationship was fractured in the last few years, saying her father “lost sight” of their love and discussed how, despite being at odds with her father, she still misses who he was, and she is under no obligation to explain this to fans who are questioning her decision to pay tribute to him or publicly mourn him.

In the caption, Brooke wrote about not giving fans a thirst trap and how her body should not have been commented on. “I grew up in swimsuits. I understand that not a lot of the world gets that. But this is my home. This is me. This is my one of many days I grieved my dad,” she wrote. “Shame on anyone for demonizing it. I am a human. My father was human. And you people have the nerve to act like you’re experts on ANY topic or know anything about my experience with him?”
