Barbara Corcoran Shows Off New Smile After Knocking Out Her Front Tooth: ‘I Tripped & Fell’

Barbara Corcoran is flashing a brand-new smile after a painful fall left her without her front tooth.

The “Shark Tank” star took to Instagram on Tuesday, March 3, to recount the accident, which happened while she was checking on renovations at her new apartment.

“Saved by my lone crooked tooth!” she began her candid post. “I stopped by my new apartment to check on the renovations. Curiosity didn’t kill the cat, but it sure did take me down.”

Corcoran Explained How It Happened

Corcoran explained that she tripped and fell face-first. “I tripped, and as I fell, my only thought was, ‘please, just not my face!’ Well, I landed face-first. Somehow, my one crooked tooth broke the fall.”

The impact was serious.

“My upper lip was barely hanging on and there was a lot of blood. (I’ll spare you the photos, but trust me.),” she wrote.

In a twist she described as cinematic, help arrived quickly.

Corcoran said her building superintendent appeared and informed her that a highly regarded doctor happened to be in the building and could treat her immediately.

“5 stitches on my lip later from @drjohnesherman, and I was good to go!” she shared.

Corcoran Had Travel Plans the Following Day

The timing, however, was less than ideal.

Corcoran had plans to travel early the next morning for “four speeches in four cities” — and she admitted she looked “damn scary” with her front tooth missing.

That’s when the doctor stepped in again. “‘Take MY dentist appointment,’ Dr. Sherman said. ‘I have a toothache and I’m due there in five minutes. He’s the best cosmetic dentist in the city. It takes months to get in.’”

According to Corcoran, they quickly hopped into the doctor’s Porsche and drove a few blocks.

“Talk about 5 stars!” she joked.

Just 30 minutes later, she walked out with a replacement tooth. “30 minutes later I walked out with my brand-new front tooth, straight as an arrow,” she wrote, calling it “a major upgrade” from the crooked tooth that likely remained “buried at the scene.”

She concluded with her trademark humor: “Long story short, I knocked out my front tooth and didn’t even get a gold medal for it.”

Corcoran’s post included two photos — one showing her bloodied lip while receiving oxygen, and another with her doctor.

Fans sent their well wishes to the investor.

“I hope you are healing well! I’m glad you had that opportunity to be seen so soon,” someone wrote.

Another addded, “So glad you are ok and got such fabulous care!! Wishing you easy and speedy recovery.”
