GH’s Charlotte Cassadine Is Now Being Played by Bluesy Burke

Charlotte Cassadine made her return to “General Hospital” on Sept. 8, 2025, but she looked quite a bit different. Bluesy Burke has replaced Scarlett Fernandez in the role of Lulu Spencer and Valentin Cassadine’s teen daughter.

Fernandez first began playing the role of Charlotte back in 2016, but it is clear that the character is evolving into a more mature and powerful persona.

When we last saw Charlotte earlier this year, she was on the run overseas with Valentin. Lulu went all the way to Prague to find her daughter, and when Brennan finally captured Valentin, she was able to bring her home. Although Charlotte has been living with Lulu and Rocco in Port Charles, she hasn’t been seen onscreen since March 2025.

Bluesy’s first scenes as Charlotte included a clash with her mother over driving Scout from summer camp to the Qs’ stables. While Charlotte understood why she was in trouble, she was adamant that she had done it for the right reasons. Clearly, Charlotte is about to give Lulu a run for her money, and GH fans are here for it.

GH’s head writers, Elizabeth Korte and Chris Van Etten, shared in their recent TV Insider fall preview, “Charlotte returns to the canvas and assumes a pivotal role. She’s very useful to anyone who wants something from Valentin — and she knows it. She isn’t afraid to exploit her relationship with her father to get what she wants. She’ll draw closer to Danny and Rocco as we develop General Hospital’s next generation.”

Bluesy Burke is the 17-year-old daughter of Billy Burke, who starred as Charlie Swan in the “Twilight” films. He has also appeared on the CBS drama, “Fire Country.” Bluesy’s mother, Pollyanna Rose, is also an actress.

Burke appeared in her father’s movie, “Luster,” as a baby, and played Cindy in “Booksmart,” directed by Olivia Wilde. Burke also inspired “Bluesy LaRue,” one of her father’s songs.

How do you feel about the powers-that-be recasting Charlotte Cassadine? Is it time for Charlotte to come into her own as the daughter of a superspy and a Spencer? What was your first impression of Bluesy Burke in the role? Is she the shot in the arm of adrenaline that Charlotte now needs?
