Susan Lucci shared a nostalgic look back at “All My Children.” On Jan. 5, 2026, the actress and “Dancing with the Stars” alum posted a tribute to the now-defunct ABC soap on the 56th anniversary of its premiere.
Lucci, 79, shared a series of photos from the long-running daytime drama that she starred in for more than 40 years. The post included photos of the soap icon’s character, Erica Kane, alongside multiple cast members during her long run on the series—including Carol Burnett, who had a recurring role as Verla Grubbs in the 1980s.
“January 5, 1970: All My Children premieres. And everything changes,” Lucci captioned the post. “Thank you to Agnes Nixon for creating Pine Valley and for Erica Kane. To all the cast and crew, I love you, always. And to the fans – Thank you for watching—and for your passion!!! Thank you for keeping us on the air for forty one years!!! ❤️🎉🎊.”

Susan Lucci Would Totally Return to Pine Valley
GettyThere was once talk of an “All My Children” reboot produced by former cast member Kelly Ripa, which never came to fruition. In September 2024, People magazine reported that Lifetime was developing a Christmas movie set in Pine Valley. There have been no further details on that project.
But Lucci, who won an Emmy Award for her role as Erica Kane, told Good Housekeeping that she would be on board with reprising her role in the movie.
“Yes, of course I would,” Lucci shared. “And I would hope it would be more than a cameo, because that part was really wonderful, and I miss playing her.”

Makes me think of my grandma would love a reboot with the children and grandchildren. How wonderful that would be!!!
I worked in the 80’s on Dynasty. Yes Dynasty seeing for the sets. I recall talk was going on then of bring One Erica Kane over to appear at Denver Carrington affairs. We waited for it but didn’t come to be. Too bad her and Alexis Wow!
I would love to see the whole cast of All My Children together again for this special project. And also to have Michael B. Jordan to reprise his role as Reggie Montgomery also.
I missed All My Children’s Soap tv show. Susan Lucci is My Most Favorite actress & Shaun Connery is My Favorite Actor in my Lifetime. Susan play a very good part in the show. She waited for a very long time to receive the AMC Award. That was a Miracle. I love all of her movies.
I grew up watching ALL MY CHILDREN. I would rush home from school to watch it. Susan and Kelly were my favorite. The whole cast was great. Adam and Stuart just amazing how well was played. Please bring us back our All My Children
