It’s hard to believe, but The Bold and the Beautiful’s Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) and Finn (Tanner Novlan) have been in a whirlwind romance for roughly six years. While they’ve had their fair share of ups and downs due to Liam (Scott Clifton) and Luna (Lisa Yamada), the biggest source of the duo’s problems lies in the one and only Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown).
Steffy has never really been able to get over the fact that Sheila is Finn’s birth mother, and for good reason. Sheila has been a thorn in the side of the Forrester family for decades. The soap villain tried to kill Steffy’s grandmother, shot Steffy’s mother, and attempted to kill Steffy herself. Heck, Sheila even put Finn’s life in peril. That would be too much for most people to just forgive and forget, and Steffy is no exception (even if we are talking daytime TV).
From Finn’s perspective, he feels this undying connection to his birth mother. He may know about her sordid past and was there on the other end of the gun she once wielded, but he has a soft spot for her. Although he’s told Steffy time and time again that he’d keep Sheila away from the life the married couple has built together, Finn keeps leaving the door cracked for his bio mom. And finally, during the week of August 10, it all proves to be too much for Steffy, and she declared her marriage over after Finn defended Sheila in Monaco.
Will Steffy Cheat with Carter?
CBSAfter ending her marriage in Monaco, Steffy hops on the first plane smoking back to LA, where she has her fill of drinks. Coincidentally, as her marriage implodes, Carter (Lawrence Saint-Victor) is gobsmacked by Daphne (Murielle Hilaire). His brand-new wife, so distraught by not being able to carry a child, ends things with him as well.
Fast forward to The Bold and the Beautiful episode airing on August 14, and Steffy seemingly gets drunk before her arrival in the States, and Carter gets drunk at Forrester Creations. Then, instead of opting to go home after her plane lands, Steffy appears at Forrester Creations, where Carter winds up consoling her. So far, nothing romantic has transpired between the two, but in soapy fashion, that looks to be on the agenda. If the two do hook up, one can only be thankful Steffy didn’t turn to Liam.
After Heartbreak, Finn Morphs into Sheila?
CBSWe can all probably admit that Finn is a nice guy, but he lacks a bit of fire and spiciness. While it’s not fair to call him weak, Steffy herself admitted to growing tired of being the strong one for her family. But he could change.
It’s not hard to imagine a scenario in which Steffy cheats with Carter, and the news eventually reaches Finn either through Steffy’s confession, someone learning the news and telling Finn, or a pregnancy arising from Steffy’s one-night stand. However the good doctor finds out, he’d probably be crushed. Could he be crushed so much so that he snaps and proves he’s Sheila’s son after all? Sure. It would actually be exciting.
Perhaps Finn stalks Carter and figures out ways to torture him as payback. Or maybe Finn goes to great lengths to file for divorce and drag the Forrester name through the mud in a divorce/custody battle. He could even seek some of Steffy’s Forrester shares when they split. Him actually getting Forrester shares and selling them to Hope (Annika Noelle) would be an epic move that really shakes up the show’s canvas.
But for now, we will just have to see what will actually happen on The Bold and the Beautiful. Oh, and not for nothing, Carter once again being jilted in love is sad to see.
