“The Young and the Restless” spoilers for Friday, January 2, reveal that Victor and Nick Newman plot against Matt Clark.
Daniel Romalotti makes a promise to Tessa Porter. Meanwhile, Mariah Copeland is haunted by Ian Ward.
‘The Young & the Restless’ Spoilers: Matt Double-Crosses Nick
On Friday, Nick meets with Matt, who demands $5 million in exchange for Sienna. “The Young and the Restless” spoilers say Nick asks for proof that she’s still alive, so Matt shows him a video he took earlier.
“You send me $5 million dollars, within the hour, or I’ll send you a very different video of Sienna,” Matt threatens before taking off.
Back at his motel room, Matt tells Annie Stewart that he’ll take Nick’s money, but there will be no happy ending for Sienna and Noah. “The way this ends is the two of them in a deep, dark grave,” he adds.
Meanwhile, Adam Newman visits Sharon Newman and asks Noah Newman if there’s anything he can do to help. Sharon says Nick is handling it.
Adam then asks Noah if maybe Sienna got together with him to make her husband jealous. As expected, Noah gets defensive of Sienna. He tells his uncle that instead of sliming her, he should see her as a victim.
Adam apologizes and tells Noah that if he trusts Sienna, he will too. Just then, Victor shows up and tells everyone that Nick is meeting with Matt.
Tessa Files for Divorce
CBSAlso on Friday, Daniel runs into Tessa at Crimson Lights after their intimate night together. “The Young and the Restless” spoilers say Tessa leads Daniel out to talk privately.
Daniel asks if it’s time for “the talk,” but Tessa says it’s not what she has in mind. She kisses him.
“So, no regrets?” Daniel asks. Tessa says no, adding that she needed to be seen and feel whole again.
“I called a lawyer this morning and started divorce proceedings,” Tessa tells him. Daniel feels guilty but she insists her decision has nothing to do with what’s happening with them.
“Mariah moved on and you gave me the courage to do the same,” Tessa adds.
‘The Young & the Restless’ Spoilers: Mariah is Haunted
CBSMeanwhile, Mariah is at a motel, looking at a photo of her, Tessa, and Aria. “I used to sing to Dominic when he was in my belly, when I carried him for Abby,” she tells Aria. “I don’t think a lullaby could help me at this point.”
As she closes her eyes, a vision of Ian Ward tells her, “Is that any way to talk about the person who loves you most?”
He tells Mariah she needs to face the truth, which is why he’s there. Ian points out that she cut off all contact with Tessa and Aria for a reason.
“You didn’t just walk away, you burned it down, for good,” Ian adds. “Tessa’s moved on and you need to do the same thing for yourself.”
Mariah starts crying, saying her wife and daughter are the only things keeping her hanging on. But Ian counters, saying they’re the only thing stopping her from meeting her true destiny.
“Aria is not even your flesh and blood child, you need to reclaim what is truly yours,” Ian adds.
He then picks up the photo and tells Mariah he’s going to help her do it. “Let them live the lives they were meant to live and you can live yours,” he urges.
Mariah takes the photo and tears it up. “I know what I have to do,” she tells him. “I’m just so afraid.”
Ian tells Mariah she’s the strongest disciple he’s ever had. “I am confident that you will be able to fulfill your destiny and do what needs to be done,” he adds.
Mariah agrees, saying the path is clear and the plan is set.
