While there’s still plenty of buzz happening around the fact that Taylor Frankie Paul’s season of “The Bachelorette” was canceled not long before it was set to premier, some people might choose to keep a low profile at a time like this. However, that doesn’t seem to be Taylor’s style. That’s seemingly why she was resisting the idea of fully logging off — and now, she has fully “returned to social media,” according to Us Weekly.
Indeed, Taylor “breaks social media silence,” Parade noted on Thursday, March 26, the same day that the reality TV figure shared a couple of posts via her Instagram Stories.
Taylor Posted that ‘Check[ing] In Can Be Someone’s Lifeline’
GettyTaylor took to her Instagram Stories on Thursday and “thanked her supporters amid the scandal,” per Us Weekly.
“Thank you 🙏 to every check in, call, and prayer sent,” she wrote over a photo of a road below large hills covered in trees with the sun shining brightly in a blue sky. She added, “Your unconditional kindness and check in can be someone’s lifeline.”
In a second IG Story, she shared an image of a table set up with flowers, books and a pen. She also added text, writing that she was “ending every night with gratitude even if it’s just ONE glimmer.”
Taylor Initially Broke ‘Her Silence’ in a Statement
Following “The Bachelorette” cancellation, Taylor first “[broke] her silence” by releasing a statement to Us Weekly.
“Taylor is very grateful for ABC’s support as she prioritizes her family’s safety and security,” a representative for Taylor said on Thursday, March 19. “After years of silently suffering extensive mental and physical abuse as well as threats of retaliation, Taylor is finally gaining the strength to face her accuser and taking steps to ensure that she and her children are protected from any further harm.”
“There are too many women who are suffering in silence as they survive aggressive, jealous ex-partners who refuse to let them move on with their lives,” the statement continued. “Taylor has remained silent out of fear of further abuse, retaliation, and public shaming. She is currently exploring all of her options, seeking support, and preparing to own and share her story.”
This came after “a video … resurfaced of Taylor physical assaulting her ex-boyfriend Dakota Mortensen,” Parade explains while noting that Taylor and Dakota “share a son Ever who was born in March 2024. [Taylor] also has two children with her ex-husband Tate Paul: Indy, 8, and Ocean, 5.”
As it stands, “Mortensen has now filed a restraining order against Paul and is requesting sole custody of their son.”
