Blake Shelton’s Stepson Honors 1 of His Most Infamous Looks as He Follows in His Footsteps

Zuma Rossdale honored stepdad Blake Shelton’s signature mullet during a Disneyland outing — and that’s not the only way the 17-year-old is following in the country star’s footsteps. Gwen Stefani and Gavin Rossdale’s middle son not only debuted a Shelton-style haircut in the “happiest place on earth,” he’s also been quietly building confidence onstage with live country performances.

Zuma Rossdale’s Mullet Honors Blake Shelton’s Signature Style

While spending the day with friends at Disneyland on October 24, Zuma showed off a new look that gave clear country vibes. According to Ok! Magazine, the teen sported a green Levi’s T-shirt, a denim jacket, and glasses, with his new mullet tucked beneath an orange-and-white trucker hat as he scrolled through his phone.

The same day, Stefani, 56, was set to perform songs for the Disneyland Christmas showcase, making it a big family day for the Sheltons.

Stefani and her ex-husband, Bush frontman Rossdale, 59, share three sons — Kingston, 19, Zuma, 17, and Apollo, 11. The couple finalized their divorce in 2016 after nearly 13 years of marriage but have continued to co-parent peacefully. “While the two of us have come to the mutual decision that we will no longer be partners in marriage, we remain partners in parenting,” they said in a statement to People.

Zuma Rossdale Is Also Stepping Into Country Music

The haircut isn’t the only Shelton-inspired connection. Zuma has been dipping his boots into country music on the stage at Shelton’s Ole Red in Tishomingo, Oklahoma. The teen made his live debut there in November 2024 and has returned several times since.

Most recently, on Saturday, July 19, 2025, Zuma performed a throwback set that included John Michael Montgomery’s ’90s hit “Sold (The Grundy County Auction Incident)” and Shelton’s own “Ole Red.” The country superstar proudly watched from the sidelines as his stepson performed.

“Zuma will spend about 20 minutes, him and his guitar,” Shelton shared in a conversation on “Taste of Country Nights.”

“It’s not me showing him stuff, it’s him showing me stuff,” Shelton explained. “‘Have you heard this artist?’ ‘Listen to this song.’” The proud stepdad added, “It’s almost every single day. I love it. I can’t wait til I get home.”

Since marrying Stefani in 2021, after famously meeting on “The Voice,” Shelton has leaned into his role as a stepdad, even stepping away from “The Voice” to prioritize family time.

“Having kids, it truly does make you go, ‘Oh, whoa, wait a minute. This isn’t about me anymore and never will be again,’” he explained in 2022. “If you don’t say that yourself, I think you’re only hurting yourself, because you’re going to miss out.”
