John Legend’s Adorable Daughter Luna Steals the Show With Behind-the-Scenes on ‘The Voice’

John Legend’s daughter Luna is making the most of her time on the set of “The Voice: Battle of Champions.” The 9-year-old has been spotted enjoying behind-the-scenes access during filming, even taking on a surprising role entertaining the cast and crew.

Legend shared a video on Instagram on March 23 showing Luna leading a dance party on set.

John Legend Shares Luna’s ‘The Voice’ Dance Party Moments

Legend posted a video of Luna encouraging everyone around her to dance while music played on set.

“When Luna tells you to dance you dance!” Legend captioned the post.

In the clip, Luna approaches crew members and confidently directs them to join in. Kelly Clarkson also participates, though she initially pauses, saying, “Wait for it,” expecting a big musical moment that never comes.

When the song ends, Clarkson reacts with surprise after missing her chance to dance on camera.

Luna continues leading the moment, watching others dance and offering commentary.

“Yes, this is good,” she said in the video. “This is the kind of content you want to see.”

Later, Luna approaches Clarkson again while she sits in her coach chair and asks her to dance. This time, Clarkson immediately joins in, adding to the playful backstage moment.

Luna’s ‘The Voice’ Hosting Moment Gets Reaction From Carson Daly

Luna has also been exploring other roles on set. On March 22, Legend shared another video showing her pretending to interview cast and crew members using a makeshift microphone.

“Luna’s coming for your job,” Legend wrote, tagging “The Voice” host Carson Daly.

Daly responded in the comments, joking, “Wow! Slow down, Luna! I have mouths to feed!”

The interaction highlights Luna’s growing confidence while spending time behind the scenes of the show.

Luna and Miles Cheer on John Legend During ‘The Voice’ Battles

Luna and her brother, Miles, also supported Legend during the Battle rounds. Both were seen reacting to performances and cheering from the audience.

During one Battle, contestant AJ Robinson performed, drawing attention from the coaches and audience. Clarkson commented on Robinson’s appearance, saying, “He’s 14 and he’s got a belt buckle almost as big as his head and I can’t take my eyes off of the little Howdy Doody!”

Legend added, “Luna and Miles love him,” referring to his children’s reaction to the performance.

Although Robinson did not advance, Legend later used a Steal to bring contestant Moses G. onto his team, which excited Luna and Miles.

“Did you see how happy Luna and Miles were?” Legend asked Clarkson.

“You guys were the most excited,” Clarkson told the children as they joined their father on stage. “Watching them be so excited was amazing.”

Luna also shared a moment with her father after the decision, telling him, “Good boy!”

Legend responded, “Pat on the back? I made you happy?” before Luna playfully gave him a pat on the head.

New episodes of “The Voice: Battle of Champions” air Mondays on NBC.
