Niall Horan may not have made a grand announcement, but fans quickly picked up on his latest update. “The Voice” coach casually revealed that his next album is officially finished, later fueling even more excitement with a brief acoustic teaser that sent social media into a frenzy.
New Music on the Way
In exciting news, the former One Direction member posted on his Instagram account and gave his fans what they have been waiting for. Horan captioned the photo saying, “Album is DONE.”
The post was a carousel of photos, which started with him dressed in a sweater and a pair of jeans. He was holding a cup of coffee outside on a sunny day.
You could also see what looked like a makeshift home studio inside a living room. He also shared a seconds-long video of the singer-songwriter playing on a piano.
Fans wanted more, which the “Slow Hands” singer must have been reading. He ended up sharing a video on his Instagram Stories, which was in response to a comment by a user asking, “Can we have a teaser pleasee.”
For that video, you can see Niall sitting on his couch while playing the guitar. It was a short but sweet moment.
Fourth Studio Album for Niall Horan
This new album will be Niall’s fourth solo album. His previous solo albums include “Flicker” (2017), “Heartbreak Weather” (2020), and “The Show” (2023).
Horan has become a staple on “The Voice,” having won season 28 with Aiden Ross. In 2023, while on the show, he announced he would be taking “The Show” on the road after the album was released.
In a press statement at the time, Niall said, “There’s nothing better than watching the crowd sing back to you with all that emotion on their faces and knowing that they’re attaching the song to something meaningful in their own lives. To me, that’s always the greatest thing that can ever come from songwriting,” according to PEOPLE.
