The six finalists for “The Voice” season 28 finale have been announced. They took the stage tonight and sang for your votes on “The Voice” 2025. DEK of Hearts was one of the wild card picks, earning a spot after America voted them in during one of the Playoff weeks. They are now ready to take it all the way for Team Niall, giving Niall Horan his third win as a coach.
Here are five fast facts you need to know about DEK of Hearts, who are hoping to be named the winner of “The Voice” season 28 this week.
1. Standing Ovation on ‘The Voice’
The season started strong for this trio, as DEK of Hearts earned a four-chair turn quickly during their blind audition. Reba was first to ht her button, but Niall, Snoop, and Michael quickly joined her.
For this performance, they sang “Heads Carolina, Tails California” by Jo Dee Messina.
2. DEK of Hearts Shocked Everyone
The battle was then on for the coaches, as they all wanted DEK of Hearts to choose them as their coach. It seemed obvious to everyone that DEK of Hearts, a country trio living in Nashville, would choose Reba as their coach, right?
However, they shocked everyone in the building and watching at home when they decided to join Team Niall. It ended up being a wise choice, as he got them into the Voice Finale.
3. College Friends
To step back, DEK of Hearts consists of three members: Emily Clapp (lead vocals), Dylan John (acoustic guitar), and Kollin Bailey (guitar, mandolin, keys).
The trio are all graduates of Trevecca Nazarene University in Nashville. They all attended and became friends, singing worship music together.
4. First Mic Drop Winner on ‘The Voice’
A new twist on “The Voice” season 28 was the Mic Drop, which allowed for each coach to hit their Mic Drop button for one act during the Knockouts.
America would then vote on the four acts, with the winner getting a chance to perform during the Rose Bowl Parade. Niall hit his button for DEK of Hearts, America voted, and it was DEK of Hearts winning the Mic Drop.
So, keep an eye out for them during the Rose Bowl Parade this year.
5. America Seems to Love Them
While DEK of Hearts won the Mic Drop twist, they also went on to win of the spots in “The Voice” season 28 finale thanks to America’s votes.
During the Playoffs, Niall Horan chose Aiden as his pick to represent Team Niall in the finale. That meant DEK of Hearts would be eliminated.
However, America voted, and again, they picked DEK of Hearts. This time, they would make the Top 6 and sing for your votes, once again, and a chance at being named the winner of “The Voice” 2025.
