Reba McEntire has shared the one thing her and her partner Rex Linn don’t seem to see eye to eye on. Though the stunning singer, actress, and former coach on “The Voice”, 71, deems it as the “only” thing her and her fiance aren’t on the same page about. The happy couple got engaged on Christmas Eve of 2024 in Tennessee and have been loved up ever since. But when it comes to sitting down at the end of the day and choosing something to watch while unwinding? Well, the duo seem to have completely opposite ideas of a good time.
What Did Reba Reveal?
GettySpeaking to E! News about her blossoming relationship with Rex, Reba revealed that they have entirely opposite tastes when it comes to movies. She loves the warm, fuzzy feeling-inducing flicks whereas Rex would rather sit on the edge of his seat and immerse himself in a nail-biting horror.
Reba shared: “We love the country way of life, the western way of life, we love movies, we love television, and we’re very similar. The only thing we’re opposite of? He loves thriller-horror movies. I’m more like, ‘Happy! Oh, everything’s so sweet!'”
Reba continued to gush about her partner and how they seem to fit so perfectly into one another’s lives. She explained: “It’s easy, we have a blast together. We work together, and we rehearse together. We carpool together. So, we’re always together.”
The cute couple even have matching nicknames for one another,with Reba’s being “Tater Tot”. What’s not to love about them!
Reba and Rex’s Wedding Plan Update
The movie preference news comes shortly after Reba and Rex gave their fans an update on when they might be able to expect a wedding. Unfortunately for those hoping and waiting to see the pair officially tie the knot, it sounds like it’s not going to be any time in the super near future.
Further speaking to E! News, Reba revealed that she and Rex hadn’t began their planning yet and noted how busy her and her husband-to-be are in their work lives. Reba said: “We’re just waiting until we have an open spot to have the wedding. Get it planned. Print those invitations.”
McEntire stood next to her “Happy’s Place” co-star Belissa Escobedo, who remarked that both the singer and her fiancé are “two of the busiest people” and are “always on a new job, making new music.
Some of the work Reba has recently been wrapped up in include starring in “Happy Place” alongside Rex, and releasing a series of anniversary EPs to celebrate her being in the music industry for 50 years. The run of EPs kicked off with a release in April and Reba plans to continue rolling them out through to December.
In February, McEntire shared similar reasons as to why she and Linn do not have a wedding date in place. “We’re still waiting on a third season pickup from ‘Happy’s Place,’” she told E! News, adding, “And Rex got picked up on ‘Stick’ with Owen Wilson, so that pushed the wedding back.”
