“Welcome to Plathville” star Isaac Plath claims he’s “praying for a second chance” after ending his relationship with Kaylynn Brinkley.
Plath broke up with Brinkley, believing the couple was “moving too fast.” He also suggested that outside opinions may have played a role in his decision to end the relationship.
Isaac Plath and Kaylynn Brinkley Discussed Their Tough Split
In an Instagram clip, “Welcome to Plathville” star Kaylynn Brinkley admitted she “never saw” her breakup with Isaac coming. She said, “I have mixed emotions, because I do still care for him. I do still love him. But I’ve always stuck up for myself. I’m never a second option, and I’m not for all that.”
In the series’ April 7th episode, Plath and Brinkley visited a Halloween corn maze with his family members, Moriah Plath and Ethan Plath. Plath asked her to talk privately in his truck and requested she turn off her microphone so they could speak off-camera. A title card later revealed that he ended the relationship, and the fallout of their discussion was featured in the series’ most recent episode.
TLCIn the series Season 8 episode titled “Fish or Cut Bait,” Plath appeared to have second thoughts about his decision. PEOPLE Magazine shared some of his statements.
“I felt like it was moving too fast, and I was too young,” Plath said. “Certain thoughts built up to where I felt like I was under too much pressure, and I wanted to just be free. I know she is a little bit older than me, so she may want to settle down a little sooner than I would have in mind. Just everything my family’s been through, it scared me.”
The “Welcome to Plathville” star added that he was influenced to end things with Brinkley after speaking about their relationship with a co-worker. “That’s one of the things that makes me feel so stupid, and it’s one of those things where, right after you make the decision, you just know in your gut it wasn’t a good decision. She didn’t deserve to be treated that way after everything she’s done for me.”

In the same episode, Isaac Plath shared his hopes for a romantic reunion with Kaylynn Brinkley. However, will she put her hurt feelings aside and give him another chance?
Path said, per PEOPLE, “I don’t know if I can recover from this with her, and I don’t know if she’d be open to that. I’m really waiting to see where she stands. I just don’t know if I’ve done too much damage to redo it, but I’m just praying for a second chance.”
She responded, “Honestly, right now, I don’t necessarily know where me and Isaac stand. I really believed so much that he was the one. But trust isn’t just given. It’s something that you have to earn with your actions. We’ll just see what he does. And just give it to God, because that’s the only other thing I can do.”
While it’s unclear where the couple stands today, Isaac Plath shared several photos with Kaylynn Brinkley on Instagram in January 2026. He captioned the post, “No matter the view, I want to see it with you.”
