“Saved By the Bell” star Mario Lopez and his wife Courtney have been happily married for 13 years. During that time, their love has only strengthened and grown.
Together, the couple shares three children, daughter Gia, 15, and sons Dominic, 12, and Santino, 6. With busy careers and children at home, both Mario and Courtney know they have to carve out time to work on their marriage.
After 13 years of bliss, the Lopezes are eager to dish on their secrets.
Courtney & Mario Lopez Emphasize the Importance of Quality Time
In an age where Hollywood divorces are common, Mario Lopez and Courtney Mazza seem to have everything figured out. After 13 years, they’re still in love and adore one another.
“I’m just really lucky, married to an incredible woman who gets me, knows me, fortunately loves me, and we laugh a lot and have a lot of fun,” the actor gushed over his wife while speaking to PEOPLE. “We’re blessed with three great kids, three great dogs, so I feel really good and lucky.”
“It just gets better and better, and I’m not trying to be corny, but it does. We just love each other. We have fun,” Courtney added, noting there are many laughs in their home.
The pair frequently post cute photos and videos of their antics on social media.
The couple noted that the secret to a long-lasting marriage is to keep dating each other. They frequently take multi-day trips just for the two of them.
“We try to carve out certain days,” Mario detailed. “This little event is a little getaway weekend within town, which is great, so we get to be back on Sunday. Those are important. We never stopped dating — that’s important.”
However, the couple notes that their trips don’t always involve flights. They can do a fun getaway nearby their home.
“It’s funny because we like to go to Vegas a lot,” the “Saved By the Bell” actor continued. “We go for the fights, we’ll go for shows and stuff, do the wine trips. This is great. Catch up on sleep.”
Performing Seems to Run in the Family
Mario Lopez and Courtney Mazza are natural-born performers. Their Instagram profiles are full of the pair dancing and putting on skits.
“Married to my favorite person to laugh with, dance with, and get lost in the moment with…Still crazy about you… and still surprised you’re still putting up with me. Te quiero mucho mi amor,” Mario Lopez shared on Instagram in December 2025. He attached an adorable video of him dancing with Courtney in their hallway.
“I love us so much,” she replied.
In the comments, fans gushed over the couple and wished them many more years of happiness together.

It seems that their children are excited about performing as well. Last winter, Mario Lopez excitedly detailed how his family got involved with one of his films.
“I really wanted my family to be involved in my first film for Great American Family. So, my wife, who’s wildly talented, sings, dances, acts [in this film] beautifully [as well as] my son, Dominic, who also sings, dances and acts. I was honored to have them be in the film with me. This is a very special project, and it’s come together great. And I’m very proud of them,” the actor told Great American Journal last winter.
