Heather Locklear and Richie Sambora joyfully watched their daughter, Ava Sambora, get married in a lavish wedding on May 16, 2026. The “Melrose Place” alum and former Bon Jovi guitarist, who were married from 1994 to 2007, were seen beaming as they both walked Ava, 28, down the aisle. Their only child married investment associate Tyler Farrar, whom she met in college, according to People.
During the ceremony, Locklear was photographed holding hands with her new love, fellow 90s icon Lorenzo Lamas, whom she began dating in late 2025. She sat next to Sambora’s longtime love, guitarist Orianthi, as both couples watched the ceremony from the front row.

Locklear, 64, and Sambora, 66, looked like very proud parents at the lavish outdoor ceremony, held at the Rosewood Miramar in Montecito, California, per People.
In early May, Sambora told People he worked out a “deal with the hotel” for the wedding ceremony and reception, saying, “That’s all I did, really. It’s their [day], they get to do what they want to do. I’m lucky enough to be able to provide it.”
He also told the outlet how much he likes his new son-in-law, who met Ava in college. He told the outlet Farrar was a “shoo-in” and that “he’s a gentleman, he’s honest.”
The rocker also said that he and Ava’s father-daughter dance would be especially meaningful, revealing, “We’re dancing to a song that I wrote for her, ‘I’ll Always Walk Beside You.’ She picked it. She was such a great kid, so I lucked out.”
In a video shared by a Sambora fan account, Ava and her new husband could be seen dancing and singing along to the Bon Jovi classic “Livin’ On a Prayer,” backed by a full band and with their guests joining the epic sing-along.

Ava and Farrar got engaged in 2024, after several years of dating, per People. They celebrated with a beautiful engagement party at the time and Locklear helped throw her daughter a gorgeous bridal shower in early May.
In a private Instagram post of photos, Ava shared pics of the pink and white floral arrangements, her white dress “adorned with pink flowers,” and pics with her mom, Farrar, and the golden retriever she shares with her now-husband, per People.
In the caption, Ava wrote, “The most beautiful bridal shower. Thank you to all the amazing women who hosted, organized, and attended this special day. I am beyond grateful for each of them, especially my mama, God mother Juliet, future mother in law Mary, and sister Monica.”
According to People, Ava earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Loyola Marymount University, and a master’s degree in marriage and family therapy from the University of Southern California. Farrar, meanwhile, works as an investment associate at Pacific Partners Real Estate in Los Angeles, per his LinkedIn profile.
